'“Mia…”
Mumbling some sort of reply I heard a laugh followed by someone shaking my shoulder.
“C’mon Mia it’s already ten if you want some form of food we need to leave soon.”
Yawning I stretched my arms, rolling onto my back. Cody was sat on the edge my bed and I blinked a few times before rubbing my eyes.
“Hey sleepy.”
“Ugh, it’s too early.”
Laughing again, Cody stood up before walking over to his bag.
“Well I thought we could go out for the day.”
“Where to?”
“Just out and about, find something fun to do, but first of all get some food before visiting Ted to give him some food.”
“Okay, sounds fun.”
Sitting up properly I looked over at Cody and yawned.
“I’m going to call Ted, check he’s still there. I suggest you get dressed.”
Standing up Cody picked his phone up and left the hotel room. Getting me up and dressed was always a tiring job. Pulling my dark blue jeans and a white tank top on, I applied some make-up and tied my hair up into a messy bun. Slumping down onto the edge of the bed I began pulling my shoes on. Just as I finished tying my laces Cody walked into the room. Standing up I smiled at Cody and walked over wrapping my arms around his shoulders and his went around my waist.
“You’ll be freezing if you go out in just that.”
“Hm, well maybe I could borrow your hoodie.”
“And maybe I’ll just do this.” Pulling me closer, he softly pressed his lips to mine and moved one of his hands up to cradle the back of my head, as the kiss got slightly more intense Cody pulled me slightly closer.
Breaking the kiss I smiled up at him. “We better get going before Ted thinks we are going to bring him any food.”
Nodding he then gave me one last kiss before pulling away and walking to his bag, pulling out a black hoodie he handed it to me. Smiling I took it off him and pulled it on over my tank top. It was a bit to big, but I just pushed the sleeves up my arms.
“Now don’t you look cute?”
Rolling my eyes I walked towards the door and Cody followed
“Ted!” Walking past the line of people waiting we saw Ted sat at a table with people waiting to meet him.
“Hey Cody, hey Mia.”
“Hey, you hungry?
“Holding the plastic bag out towards Ted he took it out of my hand and set it down. Sighing a picture of himself taken by WWE for a little girl he smiled for a picture and then turned towards me and Cody.
“Thanks I think that I’ll be done soon, but then I’m picking up my new gear.”
”Okay, well, we’re going out for the day, but we’ll see you back at the hotel later.”
Nodding Ted began to greet the next person. Cody began walking back down the line and I followed. A few people pointed and shouted, I smiled and waved to a few people and they smiled and all looked at me and Cody as we passed.
“So, where are we going now?”
“I thought we’d go find somewhere to just sit and relax.
"There’s a park just around the corner and we could just go for a nice long walk.”
“Now that, I do like the sound of.”
Smiling, we began to walk towards the park Cody had talked about. Since I started wrestling I’ve never really wanted to be in a relationship with anyone. I’ve never been one for being close to people, or one for long lasting relationships. But for some reason, this relationship with Cody I wanted it to last, he’s not perfect, but he’s a good guy who knows how to treat someone right.
“What you thinking about now?”
“Just random stuff. Like how warm your hoodie is.” Smiling Cody put his arm around me and pulled me close, I lifted my arm and put it around his waist.
“So, how did you get into wrestling?”
“What I was younger my dad used to always watch it and I used to always admire how strong and beautiful the divas were. My mum always told me if you wanted to do something, go out there and do it. So when I had saved up a bit of money I enrolled in a wrestling school, what about you?”
“Everyone says I got doors opened for me because my dad’s a Hall of famer, but I worked my ass off to get here, I only ever got my dad’s help once, I’ve done everything else on my own.”
“Sounds good, I would have loved to have been born into a wrestling family, but I love the way I grew up.”
“Sometimes I think about if I hadn’t been born into my family, would I still be in the same place I am now?”
“It’s a good question.”
Cody stayed silent for a few moments before speaking again.
“If you don’t mind me asking, what happened to make you use those guys?”
Sighing to myself I thought of a way to word it.
“When I was starting out, quite a few of the guys I trained with said that even if I had enough talent, I’d still never be a big draw as I was only a girl, they said I’d have to get my fame from guys, and that I wouldn’t have any other choice.”
