Tears were rolling down her eyes, as she sat on the window will, staring at her mother's picture with intense deprivation. It was three years back when she had last kissed her mother's cheek, but a sinister accident had coldened her body, and so the cheek. They years that followed had been rough with her less than kind aunt, and her 5 impertinent boys. She missed her father, who died shortly by the trauma. God had given her all the things mediocre girls might wish for. Beauty, intelligence, wisdom. But still, they could never take place of what she had lost. There had been desires too, for courage, patience, prosperity. But she couldn't find them. What was the reason? Had she been sinful? Was God unpleased with her? These kept encircling her head, when she recalled her life. It was her exam the next day, and she could hear her mother's melodious voice saying " Always work with determination my dear, there is no doubt God gives a person what he or she struggles for". And surely, Ronnie had taken these words into account. She was still recalling this voice when she dozed off.
She woke up, all confident that she wasn't unwanted. She was loved, maybe not much by living souls but certainly by the dead. And the dead are always found right in your heart.
She was back by late afternoon feeling good. Her face clothed in a smile, she just convinced her self that this life is not to be wasted without smiles. People come in this world to die. We belong to God and there we must return. And that night it dawned on her. God had given her patience by taking her parents away, God had given her courage by giving her obstacles to overcome, she had been given prosperity by giving her a brain to work. She might have not got everything she wanted but she definitely had everything she needed.
Hope you like it, moral is everything happens for a reason. Trust God. He knows you better than you!
