(I watched him approach me, tentative steps echoing in the still, cool air of November. He drew to a stop, his bloodshot eyes looking anywhere but at me)
Here, take this?
What is it?
Just an entrance card for your exam preparatory course.
I won't need it now. You take it.
It's for you... (He took my hand) but, promise me.
(His grip tightened)
Promise me that you will try.
(He pulled me closer still, his eyes burning into mine.)
Promise me that you will succeed.
(He let go of my hand and took a step back.)
Promise me that you won't forget.
(He abruptly turned and walked away. For the first time I noticed the card clenched in the hand he was holding.)
He was gone like the wind and instead of a trail of scattered leaves; all that was left behind is this square piece of plastic that was the key to my dreams.

The idea for this particular scene is from the k-drama 'Save the Family' but the story has no other connections to it. ^_^
