Facing Fears (Jonathan Crane x Reader)

"Come on Jonny this il, be fun!" You said almost dragging the shy boy to the camping grounds
"Y-you sure? I'm not sure my father would approve of me camping" he said looking to the ground fiddling with his overly long sleeves
"Ughh come on!" You grab his hand and pull him to the area you and a few of your f I ends had booked for the weekend of camping
"<y/n>!! Your finally here" <y/f/n> said as she pulled you over to her/him and she/he sighed
"Did you have to bring him??" <y/f/n> said looking kinda sceptical
"Aw come on Jonny is super nice once you get to know him" you said punching your friend in the arm and then waving to Jonathan as he looked at the ground fiddling with his sleeves again
"It's not him I'm worried about its is nut job of a father I'm worried about" your friend whispered kind of loudly but not loud enough for him to hear them.

You your friends and Jonathan spent the night talking and telling scary stories one of which contained a jump scare which made Jonathan cling to your arm after being startled and quickly let go to not make things awkward, but the rest of the night was rather uneventful all until you started talking about your greatest fears.
"Aw I've always been terrified of clowns there freaky!" one of your friends said
"To be honest I'm kinda freaked out by dogs... What there dangerous!!" One of your more timid friends said and then since you started the conversation Jonathan piped up
"Uhm.. Uh I'm kinda scared of sca...ows " he said almost inaudible
"I'm sorry what " your friend said
" scarecrows..." He said looking to the ground embarrassed
"Aw that's nothing to be ashamed of you can't really control your fears" you said putting an arm around his shoulder
"T-thanks <y/n>" he said looking to you with the most genuine smile you've ever seen him give you
"Well what about you!?" One of your friends said
"Oh well I'm kinda scared of needles" you said just as you finished your sentence you heard a rustling in the bushes
"What was that!?" Jonathan said almost panicking
"I'll go check" you said as you began to walk over to were you heard the sound. It was in a relatively dark area so you could barely see anything
"I think it was no......." You said as something or someone grabbed you from behind you began to scream but your voice was muffled and then you felt a sharp pain in your neck as everything we not dark.

You woke up staring at the trees it was still night and you heard in the distance your friends calling out to you you tried to say something but you had been gagged
"Ah your awake" said a familiar voice , you eyes adjusted and you saw the person the voice belonged too, it was Jonathan's father Gerald Crane
" I'm truly sorry but this is for the greater good" he said as he held a needle right in your face. You screamed, you couldn't believe it your worst fear was coming true tears streamed down your face and you tried to run away but you couldn't move, you were paralysed by fear as it would seem
"Dad! What are you doing!" You heard a voice shout, it was Jonathan! You were going to be saved from this psychopath
"Jonathan, I though we talked about this, it is for the greater good" he said in a tone semi-reminiscent of kindness, Jonathan stood infront of you and collapsed on the ground breaking into tears
"Please dad anyone but her" he said
"But Jonathan.." Gerald said putting his hand on Jonathan's shoulder
" just please.." Jonathan said quietly his head in his hands
" and why should I free her rather then all the others she will abandon you after this" Gerald said sternly
"I don't care if she abandons me as long as she's safe... I .. Love her Jonathan said still on the ground looking up at his deranged father
"I see, well I'll be lenient this fine I'll let her go" Gerald said beginning to walk away
" have a good night Jonathan " he said from a reasonable distance, Jonathan turned to you
"Are you okay did he hurt you" he said un gagging your mouth you cried out and held him tight
" shhh it's okay" he said holding you close to him
"I won't let him near you again"

A/n: oh geeze this was a long chapter this may seem a bit like favouritism but scarecrow is my fav batman villain you can't blame me but yeah I hope you all enjoyed an remember sleep well my feathered friends.... I'm sorry I had too but yea that should give you a hint of who I'm writing for next XD
