I saw him. Standing there, in the field a few feet away. How had I not noticed him standing there before?

He was taller than me, and he had the bluest eyes I have ever seen. He was wearing a worn out white button up shirt, with the top buttons undone. He wore cowboy boots and blue jeans. His hair was brown and long, but not too long, with small curls. He was honestly one of the hottest guys I've ever seen in my life.

I must have been in a daze, because he waved his hands in front of my face, and said, "Hello? Mind telling me your name, and what your doing here?" He said in a deep country accent.

Wow the first contact I have with a human in four months, and that is what he has to say. Damn. "Ginger, and I've been trying to survive." I said sarcasticly. "I saw your horse,  she's beautiful."

I must have said something funny, because he let out a little chuckle. "Your name is Ginger?" I nodded razing a brow. "Your name is  Ginger, and your hair is red? what kind of a nickname is that? real creative."

I rolled my eyes, and crossed my armm. He is really rude. "It's not a nickname. My parents thought It'd be nice." He just chuckled. "Is there anyone else around?" I asked really hopeful and annoyed..

"No, my mom passed away, and my baby brother is gone too, its just me and Lily here." He said pointing towards the horse, sounding a little bit more human. Making me think about lil John. Focus Ginger!

"I'm sorry, I lost my family too." I said, heart breaking inside.

"It's quite a load your carrying with you, do you wanna rest here for a little while? I have fresh water." Hmm now he wants my company...

"that would be aweso-" Right as I was saying that, a huge mob of zombies started coming towards us. I reached up and pulled down my samari sword,  and went after one. I had killed three out of the dozen of zombies that were surrounding us, and then suddenly I fell backwards. I was trying to stand back up when a zombie fell on top of me, and all I could do was scream. The moment froze in time.

I'd let myself get carried away, and forgot about everything. I had let my guard down, and messed up. this is the end, I just know it.

I must have been panicking,  because my breathing was very heavy, and black started to surround my vision. I saw the zombie coming straight at me when everything went black.
