Ciel Phantomhive sighed loudly sinking back in his uncomfortable desk chair staring at the stack of papers. He flittled with the pen in his hand and sat up.
"Here is your Earl Gray tea and Raspberry Chocolate Cake my lord." The tall smug demon came in pushing a cart with the tea and cake. His raven black hair fell neatly over his crimson red eyes that the Earl had grown to love. He kept all the emotions hidden from his Butler as he sat up taking the tea from him.
"Sebastian," He began and looked over to him.
"Yes my lord?" Sebastian grinned with his usual smug smile.
"Stop that!" Ciel groaned tapping his finger on the side of the tea cup.
"What my lord?" Sebastian asked innocently.
"That smug grin you have all the time! It makes me uneasy!" He hissed putting his tea cup down aburtively.
"Apologizes my lord..." Sebastian muttered looking away from his master to keep a straight face.
"Anyway, I wanted to retire, this is too stressful." Ciel scoffed flicking on of the papers off the desk.
Sebastian caught it and placed it back neatly on the stack.
"Oh course my lord." Sebastian nodded and cleaned up the cake. Ciel had barely eaten any of it and gave his tea cup back to Sebastian. He began walking tiredly to his room as his eye lids were harder to stay up. Ciel hadn't gotten a lot of sleep lately, he keeps have these weird dreams that keep him up all night and as usual, Sebastian always waked him up the same time ever day. Ciel managed to reach his bedroom without falling over into a deep sleep and sunk into his covers even before Sebastian could undress him.
"Are you going to sleep in your clothes my lord?" Sebastian chuckled lightly standing by his bed side.
"Yes, I'm tired, what is my schedule for tomorrow?" He huffed rolling over pulling off his eyepatch.
"Lady Elizabeth wanted to visit, and you have violin lessons." Sebastian tapped his finger on his chin.
"Cancel it all." Ciel sighed looking over to Sebastian.
"Of course my lord." Sebastian nodded. He couldn't resist Ciel's longing face of everything to go his way and Sebastian made it his task to make sure he makes Ciel happy, if that was possible. Sebastian began to take his leave, but was stopped as Ciel sat up aburtively.
"Stay.." He muttered laying back down and curled up against the fluffy sheets.
"Yes my lord." He walked over and stood by the edge of his bed and blew out the candle. Ciel whinced at the sudden lack of light, but he didn't say anything. He stared away from Sebastian into the darkness of his room quietly. He eventually managed to fall asleep. Sebastian looked over and watched his young lord's petite face and smiled. Ciel snored softly, as if he was a purring kitten. Sebastian bit his lip and sat on the edge of the bed quietly. He glanced over at Ciel and stared at him intentively. He couldn't resist his quiet snoring and adorable features. He thought he was utterly cute. Sebastian pushed up and sat on against the head board of the bed watching over Ciel protectively. Even if he was just his master, he cared for him deeply.
