Maya let her eyes wander over the words that were printed up against the crisp, white background. The wind blew and the coolness that the saltwater created nipped at her ears and nose creating a red curtain to cover those parts. Her heartbeat sped up as she watched her boyfriend emerge from the freezing, spine-chilling water and make his way towards her on the dry sand. She was thankful for the dark shades of the sunglasses that covered her ogling eyes.
Ashton shook off the ice-cube-like water droplets that stuck to his body like a dog that refused to have his owner dry him off after a bath. He insisted on a quick dip in the below-freezing temperatures of the water although, his girlfriend denied the suggestion. He slowly jogged over to her spot in the dry sand and rested himself next to her along with his head on her side. He glanced over at the magazine she had picked up at their quick pit-stop to the gas station, before he lost interest and found entertainment in her facial expressions.
