"See you later Miss White!" The final child said as Snow moved from behind her desk with a pleasant smile and excused the young child. Moving towards the door herself, she looked back to be sure nothing was left before finding a young boy sitting outside her classroom. He had a deep look of sadness on his face before jumping up when he saw her.
"Is everything alright?"
"I'm fine." He said as he turned from her to wipe his tears.
"Henry...What is it?"
"I don't understand how someone you love can just hurt you..."
"Henry, you're so young to know about love-"
"I'm speaking of my father...He just got up and left us...didn't care about anything but himself...And my mom, she's...she's so sad all the time...I can tell she feels alone and I felt like I used to be enough."
"Henry, of course you are!"
"I'm enough of a pain..."
"Don't say that. I've known you and your mother for a very long time. When you were this big." She said showing a height of his childhood. He smirked before she continued. "Your mother loves you with everything she is. You must realize that."
"But..."
"Henry. The best thing you can do is offer your mother your great heart as I know you have it."
"Thank you Miss White." She nodded before moving towards her car and exiting for the day. Moving to her apartment, she took a deep breath before changing into more fancy clothing. Placing perfume upon her neck, she took a small sigh before leaving.
"Snow!' A voice called across the street.
"David?"
"How are you?"
"I'm...I'm alright, how are you? Back from Afghanistan I see."
"Yes. It's great to be home. Would you like to get a drink?"
"I'm actually on my way to a date."
"Oh...I see. Well, have a nice time." Before she could say anything, he turned and exited her vicinity. Memories of them together played in her head before she entered the bar across the street. Entering, she found the owner of the bar talking with a woman with dark hair who scowled at Snow upon seeing her. She made her way to the opposite end of the bar before taking a seat and Ruby took her order.
"Snow?" A voice called from across the bar. She moved to her feet with a fairytale smile and shook hands with her date.
"Victor..." He said as he kissed her cheek. They both sat down before she had a pleasant evening with the man she sat across from. A night she was willing to give a try. But as she sat there, she was unable to tear David from her mind.
"So I'm just gonna throw everything out there..." He said which broke her attention from her own thoughts. "I figure all the baggage now so you can choose if you like me now or not."
"Alright...I like that."
"I'm Victor, a doctor at the local hospital. I have been in two serious relationship that both ended with bad breakups due to my awful work schedule and her unable to handle it. I want two kids, a boy and girl as well as a big house and someone to love." He paused before taking a peanut from the bowl and smiling to her. "Your turn...." He said with a curious smirk.
"I'm in love with someone who is incredibly close to me but I cannot act on it now because he's engaged and I lost my chance..."
"Snow?" She took herself from the thought before smirking. "I'm just a teacher who loves kids and hopes to teach children so they can grow."
He smirked before they hit their glasses together. She looked down before feeling incredibly guilty. Although she sat across from a somewhat handsome and stable man, her thoughts would not leave David.
As the date came to an end, he took a deep breath before moving to kiss her. She jumped back before apologizing.
"I think it's best if we just leave things as they are."
"Okay. Night." he said turning quickly and towards his car before calling someone on his phone. She rolled her eyes before moving to her car and moving about the road. Luckily, the traffic was minimal as she realized her mind was dead set on David. She closed her eyes for a split second to attempt to think about anything else before a car came out of nowhere and she was thrown forward in her car, hitting her head and knocking her unconscious.
"Doctor Frankenstein...It is a miracle she is alive..." Victor moved through the door before seeing Snow on the table. She had a nice gash in her head and her body was motionless as she was comatose.
