Akanes POV

When I was done packing everything that we needed I went to sleep next to ryu holding him close to me he is the only part I have left of my mom and I'm not gonna let go of him.

Skip to morning

Kagomes POV

'I'm so excited that akane and Ryu are coming to visit us for a hole month wow yay......oh no I almost forgot that I have to go back to the federal era...ugh oh no how can I keep that secret I guess I'll wait to find out....

---------------time skip to akanes pov----------

So here we are flying on a plane
Great just great

The flight felt shorter then I expected it to be. when we got in a taxi I gave the man the address to kagomes shrine/house so while we were heading there I looked at Ryu to see him falling asleep I looked happy to see him look peaceful after the accident I still remember when we got a call of what happens.

Me and Ryu were just watching TV when the house phone went off "hello"

"Yes this is the police we need to informe you that your mother has been in an accident and may not make it and we will like for u to come down to the hospital"the officer said

I couldn't bring myself to say anything so I just hummed in response and hunng up

I new I had to tell Ryu I just couldn't bring myself to say anything I put the phone up and looked at Ryu

I went to the couch and took the remote to mute it looked at Ryu and began to cry and hug him until I heard his soft voice

"Sis u OK why are u crying "I heard him say

"R-ryu i-i need t-to tell u something....... Mom was in an accident and she's in the hospital we're going down there to see her before she goes OK"I told him trying to be strong

When I looked down I saw him crying and looking at me in disbelief but all I did was hug him tighter like I might lose him I just couldn't think of anything else to do.

So I decided to sing the song mom used to sing to us

Oh misty eye of the mountain below

Keep careful watch over my brothers soul

And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke

I just hummed the rest softly

And that's how are ride was me thinking that's all I could do was just think by the time we know it were in front of the shrine/house thing geez I don't even know what it is honestly so I gently woke ryu up

"Hey bro wake up were here ready to see sota and kagome "I asked him

"Yeah haven't seen them in so long let's go already " he said eagerly

I only smiled mybe just maybe are life could change this moment on ............... Hopefully
