We are people, we are true
We don't need your violence, neither do you
We are people, we are human
The pigment of your skin does not determine youWe are people, we are hard-working
We have things from the work that we do
We are people, we have feelings
Nothing hurts more than the bad things you doWe are people, we are alive
We move around and eat, play, as well as say "goodbye"
We are people, we make sounds
We play instruments to make beautiful music that lights up the groundWe are people, we write and act
To show expression in other ways words lack
We are people, we sing and dance
To show emotion and feelings that we cannot expressWe are people, we are people
