As I led my heard along I knew it's was time to tell them that it was catching season. I slowed my heard down and said "Lets stay here for the night."
"Ok dust." Pine, Dust's wife, also a dark brown mare.
"But, before you all get grazing I have to tell you all something. It's that time again. Catching season. Be on a very careful look out, and don't let your foals leave your sight!"
"Ok." Everyone replied.

As everyone peacefully grazed Dust found something suspicious on the ground. It's smelled funny. Dust looked around some more and he could tell people have been here! He quickly went back to his heard to tell them, and Cloud, A white mare came up to him. "Where is pine?" Cloud asked.
"I don't know. Isn't she here?" Dust asked questioning.
"Well she is not."
Dust was very concerned, he knew his wife was pregnant and she could be hurt! He quickly took off in search of her. The rest of the heard quickly took off after him in concern.
A few minutes later he found her circling and breathing heavy. He rushed up and asker her if she was ok.
"I going into labor." She said.
Dust knew this was was the worst time, because of the danger that surrounds them!
"No, you can't now! People are around we have to leave!" He said concerned.
But she started to lay down, and went into labor.
"Go distract them if they come!" Sun said, a buckskin mare that was in the group.
"Ok." He said galloping off!
As he did he saw people coming. He knew he had to protect his wife and his child! So he took off and they went after him. Then shortly later he felt something around his neck and knew he was caught.
As pine gave birth to a beautiful black foal. She quickly cleaned him and got him to stand up and they moved along. Not knowing their leader would not lead them.
