"Earth...you all remember what it used to be. It used to be filled with emotion, life, and beauty.
Earth's water of life filled the valley of plenty and everyone lived in peace.
That earth now is no more. The skies have turned gray and the valley of plenty has been drained until nothing was left except dust. Now man lives a struggle and is forced to do what is necessary to survive and live.
We've all seen and heard tales of this. Men forced to work without pay to build. Men spend all of their days doing mindless tasks to fulfil a forgotten dream. They try but eventually will fail, and that man will believe he's making a difference for the better. But his toil will not receive reward."The room was purely silent and you could almost hear the heartbeat of every person in that room.
"I believe we were built on a promise that we couldn't keep. Your family and your friends want to make a change for the betterment of the future generations that must carry on the problems of the future, whatever that may be.
So now all of you are enlisted to see that promise fulfilled. You all have been trained to be the first line of defense for this nation. Welcome to your new life."The room shifted as men and women alike got out of their seats to be assigned.
"Well that wasnt depressing at all."
"Shut up and move into the hall Nathan." Josh huffed under his breath
Nathan huffed and moved out of the room and into the hall. That was a small preview of what I've been working on lately and if I get enough interest in this I'll continue the story and tell me what you like and dont like about it so I can make it better for all of you thank you!
