"Ava pumpkin what's wrong"I asked picking up my little 2 month old baby girl.

I am Amiyah Shante Woods and I am currently trying to open my own law firm.I woke at an P.I firm but I'm out for 3 weeks,I'm making a good about of money.I pay my bills and put food on the table and got my baby everything she needs and me.I am 23 years old Single and the only family I have is my brother and my daddy.

Anyways back to the story, I picked Ava up and kissed her cheek while pasting her back.

"Baby what's wrong, I feed you and changed you pamper already"I said just then their was a knock on the door. I went to get it and was surprised to see the tall,sexy peanut buttered skin man standing before me.

"Jermaine "I whispered.

"Hey"he smiled with gifts in hand.I let him in and we went into the living room. He sat the gifts down and I sat down,this was awkward.

"She's beautiful "he mumbled.

"Do you wanna hold her while I get the test"I offered.

"Uh yeah" he studdered and I softly and carefully placed her in his arms. He stared down at her in awe as I went to get the at home D.N.A test and no I didn't rig it or anything like that,petty bitches do that.
I opened the box and read the instructions. I carefully swabbed Ava's mouth and Cole swabbed his. I closed them up in 2 individual bags and put them in the envelope and closed it.I put Ava's name and me and Jermaine's name on it.

"You brought gifts"I questioned and he nodded. I looked through them and smiled seeing cute little baby gifts.

"Thank you,it's nice"I smiled.

"What are we gonna do if she's mine "he asked and I mentally rolled my eyes. She is your the hell.

"Look I'm not trinna be a family, I know you have you little career, I just wanted you to know you have a daughter"i sighed.

"I still want to keep her sometimes "he said.

"Well she can't go all the way to California right now,she's a new born "I said but even when she gets bigger I don't want her leaving the state with out me.

"Why can't you move to California "I damn near slapped him.

"I'm not leaving everything I worked hard for, to depend on what you,please"I said rolling my eyes.

"So what you think I'm not finna be with my daughter "he said quite upset.

"That's for you to figure out,but how about you just forget this ever happened and go back to your music me and Ava will be good I promise "I said.

"I'm not leaving my child"he said and I took a breath.Ava started crying and I handed him her bottle.

"Listen I don't want us to have any drama I just want to Co parent"I said.

"Okay,I'll see about moving out here once the results come in"he said and I nodded. He feed and burped her while I made some dinner.

"Are you hungry "I asked.

"Yeah,thanks "he said ad I nodded. Once I was finished with dinner, I made his plate and put Ava in her crib.

"This is good"Jermaine smiled and I damn near melted.I smiled back.

"Thank you "I blushed and continued to eat.

"Well shouldn't we get to know each other, I mean we do have a daughter "he said.

"What do you wanna know "I asked.

"when's your birthday"he asked.

"March 9th that's the night she was created, it was my birthday and I was drunk off my ass and woke up next to you"

"Oh Your birthday girl,you don't remember that night"he asked and shook my head no.

"Damn"he mumbled.

"When's yours "I asked.

"January 28"he said and I nodded.

"That's in 2weeks right"I asked.

"Yeah,I guess I got an early birthday present "he said and I smiled.

"Thanks Amiyah "he smiled.

"For what"

"For my baby girl,she's beautiful "he said wiping his mouth.

"Your welcome "I laughed handing him a napkin. Then Ava started crying I was finna get up but Jermaine stopped me.

"I'll get her "he said getting up. I smiled as he went to her room.I got out plated and cleaned them before going to Ava's room.I stopped when I heard Jermaine's voice.

"I know your my baby girl,and daddy will always be here for you no matter what"he cooed. I smiled feeling a weight off my shoulders.

"Hey I'm gonna take a shower could you watch her"I asked.

"Yeah"he nodded. I headed to take a shower when my phone started ringing it was my father.

"Hey daddy"I cheered.

"Hey baby girl, what are you doing "he asked.

"Nothing gonna take a shower what about you"I asked.

"Nothing, where's my grand baby"he asked.

"She's in her room with her father "I said.

"He came,is he an asshole because ya old man will beat his ass"he said and I laughed.

"No he's okay,he's really good with Ava he bought her some gifts and he can't let her go"I laughed.

"That's good baby,so is he moving to New York or what"

"He says he's gonna see about moving"I said.

"Okay baby good night give my Ava a kiss for me "

"Okay Daddy, I love you"I cooed.

"I love you to baby"I hung up and let out a breath.I really hope Jermaine wasn't lying about never leaving her because it's the best feeling ever for a girl to have that connection with her father.
