It was a summer day I sit on a bench waiting for my friend that should already be out of school by now. She finally shows up saying that she had to stay after class and I say okay, we get up and take a walk that seems never ending when she asks me if I ever smile I laugh at the question knowing I do smile but I just tell her that I obviously smile and begin to let out a small grin. We both talk for more endless hours until we both need to go home, I tell her to come to the same place tomorrow and she agrees to meet again. When I arrive home I'm greeted by my brother and sister asking me to take them some place tomorrow to buy them a game, but I tell them that I have plans and they go from cheerful to gloomy within seconds. As bad as I feel I know I couldn't take them because I had plans with "her". I tell that I will take them the next day after tomorrow they agree and look slightly happier. I walk up to my room and lay down exhausted from the never ending walk.
I get a message from my friend about an hour later, She says that a number called her saying that they were watching her and if she didn't listen to what they said they would "do stuff to her" I instantly rose from my sleep running down my stairs out my door and I'm now sprinting towards her house I don't know what I'll do if they are inside the house when I get there but I know I'll do something. I arrive at the house banging on the door then kicking it open then yelling her name "Leah?!". She responds with I'm in the bedroom. When I open the door to the bedroom Leah is in the corner on her knees holding a phone in her hands terrified. There is blood splattered against the bedroom window. I sit there motionless and then get shocked back into reality and go over to Leah and help her up and take her outside we call the police and have a ambulance called to the house as well there was a body on the ground laying down outside of the bedroom window.
The man had a wild smile across his face as his lifeless corpse laid on the ground.
