-VIOLET'S POV-

thoughts of school flooded my mind. I got to finish high school early by having school over the hot and humid summer, I took online courses, I would be starting college this year for only a year and a half.

My thoughts got rudely interrupted, but it wasn't unwanted. I could just barely hear the rain pattering on the window, It sounded like tiny toy soldiers marching into a horrific war. I could tell this was only the beginning of a storm, I opened my window, letting the chilly air leek into my room.

Everything was so peaceful and quiet, my mother was at work, she worked a lot so she could afford the nice expensive house we had, I rarely saw her.

I slowly walked over to my red and black vanity mirror and looked at myself for a moment, hating my image. I grabbed my brush and thoughtfully combed through my messy black hair. After I was through with making my hair look nice, I went on to putting on makeup. I grabbed my eyeliner and opened it, carefully putting it on my waterline, then I put on some mascara, And finally some lipstick. I never like wearing too much makeup. I want to be as real as possible, unlike the girls at my school who wear at least a pound of concealer and everything else. I put on a white tank top and some black short shorts with my fishnet stockings to go underneath the shorts and then my black lace up boots. I was going out tonight with my friend, it wasn't really a date or at least I didn't consider it one, I was just hanging out with him and his friends.

I really liked my house and I enjoyed the small bit of my moms company that I did get, but I can't wait to move out and go to college or something. I never knew my father but from what I've heard, he was an abusive asshole.

I only have to wait 3 more damned years until I can move out on my own because I'm only 15 right now but whatever. I have a part time job at a store that sells band t-shirts and such, it's mainly for goths or whatever but I'd rather not categorize people or put labels on them. I buy a lot of my clothes from there to be completely honest. I'm trying to save up my money though. My mom makes a lot of money at her job but I don't want to spend her money. It's her money, that she works for.

I hear Andy climb into my room quietly and I turn around. He looks me up and down and bites his lip with lust. I blush a little.

"Are you ready to go, Violet?" He asked smiling. He said my name so carefully as if I was fragile like glass. I nodded as I smiled back at him. We went out my window although we easily could've used the front door, I guess it was just habit.

"So, how are you?" I asked as he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.

"I'm alright. What about you?" He said looking down at me with a small smile that danced on his lips like fire.

"I'm okay." I say listlessly. We eventually make it to Andy's house and walk to his room. We lay down and snuggle up on his bed. He puts in an old horror movie.

"When are your friends coming?" I asked. I was curious about who he hung out with, maybe I could be friends with them too. I'm a total loner, oops.

"Oh, they said they can't come tonight." He told me without any emotion, like a bad lie.

"Awh, that's a shame, I was kinda looking forward to meeting them." I say  getting under the black silk covers. It's awfully cold in Andy's room. 30 minutes pass and I eventually fall asleep.
