***8 years earlier***

Natsu's POV

  It's was my 7th Birthday and I just moved to Magnolia. I don't know anyone here. I came here because Igneel said that I can find the answers to my questions here. So far I'm excited, I finally found a house and I'm  just settling in.

   As I walk into my new house, I start to feel relieved. I thought I never was going to get the house and yet the landlord lady said that she would give me a good deal.

  As the sun goes down, I hop out of the shower and trip over this giant egg. BANG! As I get up I start to rub my sore member when I notice that the egg had blue strips going to the top. Because I was curious I shook the egg , it made this weird sound. I decide to bring it into my room and place it right beside my bed.

"I wonder what you are little fella'!" I say as I put my pjs on

As I spook, the egg started to shake. It keeps getting faster and faster until suddenly, it stopped. Immediately I was excited. As the egg started to crack, I started to jump up and down min excitement. CRACK! The top of the egg flies into the air. Then, out comes a walking blue cat.

"Wha-at are you?" I asked curiously

"I'm an Exceed" the strange cat replied

"Woah, you talk, that's so cool!!!"

"Aye!"

"Where did you come from?" I continued

"Extalia!" He yelled all joyful

"Do you have a name?" I asked shocked

"No" he said said confused.

"Hmmmmm, ah, I know, I'll name youuuu, Happy! I'm Natsu!"

"Aye Sir!"

  As I crawl into bed I invite Happy to sleep with me and he accepted with open arms. The moment we got comfortable, he fell asleep and soon after I do to.

***Happy's POV

   I wake up warm and toasty as I can fell the heat extracting from Natsu's body. As I shift around to look at him I can tell he had a good dream. He has a big smile.

"Natsu, I'll be right back, I'm just going to the bathroom." I whisper. Natsu nods his head as I quietly slip away.

I spend 10 minutes in the bathroom and when I walk out Natsu isn't on the bed. As I walk into the kitchen, I can smell something good. The smell is bacon, and when I look around I can see Natsu cooking it. When he finishes we both start to eat it. 'It's delicious' I think to myself. "Do you like it?" Natsu asked.

"Aye, it was delicious. Where did you learn to cook?"

"My dad, Igneel thought me how to cook when I was younger" He said joyfully

"Where is he now?" I asked curiously

"Idk, one day he just disappeared and never came back" He said with tears in his eyes

"Don't cry Natsu, he will be back."

"You're right, thanks Happy." He said whipping the tears away

  As we ate, he shared jokes and explained where we want to go and do when we're older. Natsu than explained that he has magic that his dad fought him. Then I showed him my little o  and told him that he wants to fly.

  The rest of the day was unpacking and having fun. We started arguing but shortly after started to laugh about it. This happened for a couple of days and then we decided to go an adventure around town.
