"Today we are having a new Philosophy 102 teacher this year." The dean stood behind the podium speaking loudly so that even the dormant creatures that lurk heard him.
"Mrs.Nelson, the teacher that's on your schedule, recently put in her resignation in order to tend to her growing family. I hope you all would wish her luck on her future endeavours." His hand gestured to the middle age teacher whos hand was warmly rubbing her growing stomach.
Every student that was present wished her a good luck and a farewell. It was then the dean turned his attention to the woman who was standing patiently behind him. With a cough he soon made the class notice the unknown woman also.
Darron zoned out when the dean was reporting the situation about their former teacher. He was busy contemplating the question Alessandro asked him. 'Why do we say an object on fire when it's actually the fire that's on the object?' It definitely was one of the most stupidest questions Alessandro has asked him, and strangely Darron found himself deeply engrossed in the answer he could not seem to figure out.
When the dean coughed it was followed by an amazing scent. He couldn't quite figure out which stood out more. Maybe it was the smell of fresh pine or the deep and rich smell of peaches that accompanied it. Whatever it was, it had his normally mellowed beast perking up. The wolf he named Zane paced around in his mind wondering why that scent affected him the way it did, it was the first time his wolf was at a loss.
"Hello class, I am your teacher Ms. Mason." A velvet like voice spoke out.
Her voice was enough to pull the man and his wolf out their thoughts. Dark amber eyes look up to catch sight of jade ones.
'Mate' the faint whisper of Zane echoed throughout their shared mind.
She must've came to the same realization as him as her jade eyes widen in shock, then sadness, before finally settling on cold. It seemed the woman didn't want anything to do with the recent discovery of her mate. This made the once mellow wolf growl dangerously low. He didn't enjoy the fact that his mate made such a face at the idea. Darron couldn't help but agree.
It wasn't before the question Alessandro asked completely left his mind, that his thoughts went on to figuring out why his lovely mate made that face at him. He didn't notice that Ms. Mason had began her lesson until someone was shaking him from his right side. Darron snapped out the inner conversation with his wolf and turned to face the culprit.
"Yes Alessandro?"
"What was you thinking about?" Alessandro asked, his voice laced with concern.
"The new teacher." His voice came with a heavy sign after.
"What about her? Got a thang for the new teach?" Darron received a playful nudge from his friend.
"She's my mat-" The deep voice was cut off by that same velvet like voice.
"Mister in the back..Ah...Mr.McLorn..would you like to share with the class what is more important than the lesson."
Darron scoffed, angry that his mate had the nerve to put him out there. It also didn't help that his so called 'partner in crime' was snickering to his right. Shooting a quick glare at his best friend, he turned his attention back to his gorgeous mate.
"We was simply discussing things that doesn't concern this class or the people in it beside us." His hand gesturing to himself and Alessandro.
"W-what?!" Ms.Mason voice rose an octave, her pearl like skin flushed red with anger.
