Chapter 4: Reminiscence and Astonishment

Author's note, hey guys good day/evening to you all, I'll be changing the cover of the story this week,and will update it more and more. as you can see, I was the one who created the cover of the story so it kinda suck lol. anyways enjoy the  new story ^_^

30 mins had passed and the ship sailed, Erza and Gray is seen sitting near the steering wheel, disuccing the map that they have. When the ship started to sail they just sat there deciding what to do to their adventure, but none comes into their mind as their master is seen reminiscing at the quarter deck.

Gray tries to explain some of the place to Erza, but realized that her attention is to where natsu is,.

"oi Erza, are you listening?" he called, but took him to say 7 erza before she gained his attention.

"Oh sorry about that, where were we?" she cleared her throat, then looked at the map.

" you're worried about natsu,aren't you?" he asked

Erza didn't say anything but just nodded "but I'm more worried about his change of heart, what happened?" she asked him

Gray's eyes softened and rested his arms to his legs " it's about the incident 10 years ago" he answered trying to be mysterious

"I see" is erza all could say and sighed worriedly "so it's been 10 years huh, time flies so fast, I'll give that to the time goddess" she whispered while the cool breeze sway her red hair

"that's right, erza, I have been wondering, why did you have to come with us?" he asked his face in a curiosity

"w..what? what do you mean? "Erza jumped a little at gray's sudden question, she slowly looked at gray waiting for her to answer his question

" what I mean is, you're the commander of main gate at the Kingdom, Am I right?" he elaborate his question

" s..so? what's wrong with that?" she stuttered

"you're busy right?, being the leader of the Knights in the kingdom especially the main gate, that's a very high position, for now don't have the time to be babysitting the idiot over there " he pointed at Natsu who is walking towards them

" what's your point?" Erza glared at Gray

"You're worried about Jellal, aren't you?" he solemnly asked, which made erza stopped the glare,"You, I mean, You're always devoted to your work, what are your.." he was cut off because Erza took a deep sigh

"let's say you're right about jellal, but there is also a reason for that, The topic awhile ago, the 'incident' 10 years ago, The disappearance of the Kingdom's Royal Family" erza's tone is dead serious as she looked at gray "Gray, It's a mysterious incident" she finished

"so that means.." Gray's eyes widened as Erza nodded

" you just realized?, that's the reason. And King Igneel ordered me to investigate. That's my mission..and also a mission to babysit the next Heir" she said

After their conversation, the serious mood between them subsided when they noticed that natsu is standing near them, Erza looked at natsu, her face is serious that made natsu's sweat come out of his pores.

" what's wrong? , Homesick Already?, If you really are, I'll let you swim back to the kingdom" Erza stated as she crossed her arms looking at the map.

"....no...that's not it..." He sweatdropped

Just then, Gray smirked and grabbed the compass, they then heard a splash towards the sea "did you see a dolphin for the first time, you're so excited you couldn't believe it really exist?" He jested

Natsu didn't respond, instead, what he did astonished his two aide

"About the commotion that I started this morning, Erza,Gray , it was my fault, I'm sorry" he apologeticly shouted and bowed towards them "I have shown you my disgraceful side, I really am sorry"

The ship is dead silent for a second, they just asked themselves what just happened
