“Well that flight took 12 and a half years.”, said Dan. He never liked long flights, Phil knows it. “Aw Dan, wasn’t it fun? I mean, we got to watch all the movies we haven’t gotten to watch on it!”, said Phil. Dan nodded his head. “Probably you’re right. But I didn’t appreciate spreading frozen butter on frozen bread.” Phil laughed as they entered the cab.
There they were, Los Angeles. They have been there before, but it was a more of a business trip than it was a holiday. This trip to LA was just to unwind and leave the shitstorms in London. They can’t wait to have fun there, but they had to wait because it was midnight and they were jetlagged as fuck. Well, at least Dan was.
“Aren’t you tired Phil?”, asked Dan while he muffled a yawn. Phil shook his head while smiling. “Why would I be? We’re in LA! I’m really excited!”, shrieked Phil, causing the cab driver to turn around and chuckle. “You two will love it here! It’s a great place for couples to unwind.”, said the driver while he turned his head back to the road. “Wait, what? Oh no, we’re just friends, isn’t that right Daniel?” Phil turned to see that Dan has snoozed off. “Well, my point is, we’re not together. We just live together and we just needed some time off reality. That’s why we’re here!”, Phil told the cab driver. “Well that’s a bummer, you guys look great together!.”
Phil woke Dan up as they reached the hotel. Phil paid the cab driver and they both got out of the yellow vehicle. They walked into the lobby and were amazed by the architecture and the way it was built. “Good job Dan,” Phil said to him, since he had the job of picking the hotel. Dan felt all happy inside knowing he had pleased his ebony haired best friend. “We should probably go check in now. I’m tired as fuck.””Good idea.”
When they reached the counter, they were greeted with a happy, cheerful and slightly annoying receptionist. “Hello there! Welcome to the Holiday Inn Hotel LA! I’m Becky, and what can I help you with tonight?” “Jesus fucking Christ”, mouthed Dan. “What was that?” Becky said annoyingly cheerful. “Oh nothing, I thought I got some fur on my trousers,” answered Dan. “We would like a room here please!” said Phil. Becky nodded and turned to her computer that seemed 10 years way out of date. “I’m sorry boys, you two came in a short notice and the only room available now is a king size one bed bedroom. Will that be fine?” Becky said. “Yes that would be fine,” answered Dan, maybe a little too quickly. Phil turned to Dan with a confused face. Dan looked back at him and smiled. He was so perfect. His striking blue eyes, his lips, his nose. His everything basically. Dan wonders to himself how he hasn’t jumped on his older roommate yet. Well he might be, tonight.
“Yes Becky, that room would be fine,” Phil told the receptionist. She smiled and handed them the keys to their room number which was 610.
Dan couldn’t help staring at Phil the whole elevator ride up. Phil saw this at the corner of his eye. Phil turned to him. “Are you okay Dan? Your face has gotten a little red,” asked Phil. Dan gulped a ball of saliva. “I’m okay. I think I’m a bit too tired.” Phil chuckled. As the doors of the elevator opened, they both headed to their room. Dan was pretty excited to share a bed with Phil. It was one of the things he wanted to do ages ago, other than fuck the hell out of him. But that time will come. Phil unlocked the door to their hotel room. It was HUGE. There was even a lounge with a 112 inch TV. “Well I think we made the right choice,” said Phil. “Hells yeah we did.”
They unpacked their clothes and put them into the wardrobe. They were going to stay there for 10 days so that was the best thing to do. As they finished unpacking, Dan hopped onto the king sized bed face first. Phil just chuckled as Dan did so. Dan just watched Phil as he unpacked his clothes. He is so perfect. His hair, his waist, his ass. Oh how he wish he could just slam himself into him. As he finished the last of his unpacking, Phil chucked himself onto the bed, right next to Dan. “Weren’t you really sleepy? It’s 1.30 am now. You could go to sleep if you want to,” Phil said to Dan. Dan shook his head. “You know what? I’m not that sleepy anymore,” Dan replied. Phil shrugged. He turned on the TV to search for good shows to watch. “Hey! Dan! Buffy is on! I can’t believe they show it here!” shrieked Phil. Dan found it so cute how Phil gets excited by the smallest things.
