I slide the doors to the side and walk out into my backyard. I near in and see the black cat. I slowly come to it as it licks itself, taking no notice of me. I'm so close to the cat, about a centimeter away. I lift my hands above the cat and pet it. The cat jumps and yowls with its back arching.
"Sorry!" I whisper. The cat looks at me with its dark black eyes.
"Natsuki" The cat says turning its head around facing the tree.
"Did...did...you just...talk?" I say crawling towards the cat as it walks up towards the tree and lays down.
"Yes. Yes indeed" The cat says without moving its lips.
"Okay then...Can I call you Leo?" I ask.
"Leo it is. I never really had a name you know." The cat says.
"I always see you crossing the bridge. Where does the bridge lead?" I ask pointing at the pink bridge.
"Another world" he purrs as I start to pet him on the ears.
"NATSUKI!" Aunt Sayuri yells.
"Okay I gotta go. Meet you tomorrow!" I say to the cat. I stand up and walk towards the house. Before I step in the house, I look back. The cat was gone. "Bye." I whisper ever so slightly to the air, hoping the cat could here me.
"NATSUKI! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Aunt Sayuri yells rushing towards the door. "Were you talking to someone? I heard you say 'Bye'."
"No, why would you think that?" I say.
