Engaged. To Zoe Delamye of all people. WHY my Mother thought that she of ALL people would be a suitable match for me I will never know. She is extremely selfish and already delights in spending my money for me even though we aren't officially married! I swear that women is evil incarnate (Zoe that is, not my Mother - even though I argue furiously with her whenever I see her due her insane proposal that I marry Delamye next spring!).
Zoe's Father is a rich businessman who lives in America. He only sees his family at Christmas but he sends copious amounts of money to his wife and daughter every month to fuel their expensive tastes: if you think Zoe is bad, you havn't met her mother! Put it this way, when Mrs Delamye wanted to buy a crystal-encrusted hair-slide the other day, Swarovski wasn't sparkly enough.
I've spoken to my Mother about my hate for Zoe but before I could say more than about five words, she cut.me off saying that she was a lovely young lady and if anything, deserved better than an ungrateful young upstart like me. Safe to say that I didn't try to speak to my Mum about her again! My Father is the only person I know who shares the same opinions of the Delamyes as me - we thinks that my Mother only wants me to marry Zoe for her money.
I have had to work much harder recently as Zoe tries her best to drain my credit card on a daily basis. I perform in concerts most evenings and find them dreadfully wearing. Or at least I did until a most mysterious thing happened the other night...
