chapter 2: Eating Tofu

Raven's POV

I broke away shocked, why did Beastboy do that? My eyes watched his as his eyes lovingly looked into mine. 

"Are you okay?" I asked. He was acting so different.

"Okay??? I've never been better!" He exclaimed.  Like I said he is acting very different.

I sat down on a rock and thought. I liked Beastboy, but I don't think we could be together, with my powers and all. 

"Rae, Can I ask you something?" He asked, inturrupting my thought. I nodded and he said, "I have loved you for quite some time, and I was wondering if you liked me back?"

"Beastboy I...."

'Don't lie to me Rae."

"I do, but...."

"Yipee!!! Finally, come on Rae! Lets go to the park or something!" He exclaimed. 

"Beastboy we can't be together!"

Silence filled the room. My heart beat loudly in my chest and I was positive he could hear it too. He frowned and his ears drooped. 

"Why not?" He asked.

"I'm a demon, Beastboy."

"i don't care about that." He said.

'I know, but it just wouldn't be right to risk your safety to be with you." I said, and you've been acting wierd, I added silently, 

"Please Rae..."

"No, we must get back before the others realize we're gone."

We walked out of Nevermore in silence, and into the common room. i put on my usual emotionless mask and tried to block out Beastboy's sadness. 

"Grassstain, you up for a game of...." Cyborg said as he realized the state of his usually happy friend. "Raven, What happened to Beast boy?"

"Beastboy went into my room."

"Oh."

I walked out of the room and into my room and sat down on my bed in thought. Beastboy kissed me... and I totally rejected him. Why did I reject him? Was it really because I am a demon? Or is it because of his strange behavior today? Sighing, I realized that it was really because I want to be with him, but don't know how. 

Beastboy's POV

I turned into a dog and flopped down on the couch. Raven didn't accept my love, she didn't love me. Why couldn't I be with her? Sighing deeply, I got up and turned back into my usual loveable  self. I walked into the kitchen to see my unfinished breakfast. 

"Hmm... Tofu eggs!!! <3"

Quickly, I gobbled up the rest of the eggs. As soon as I was done I walked into my room and sat down. Raven had to accept me, she said she loved me, but couldn't be with me. I was going to be with her if it was the last thing I did.
