There was nothing I loved more than the smell of freshly cut grass. It was just one of the things that I enjoyed and reminded me of my hometown. I stumbled up the long stair case mumbling because the temperature outside was unbearable. I couldn't believe my luck first of all because I was walking home from the bus ride. A school bus. I was 16 and could drive myself home in my Kia forte or even get a ride home from my best friends. I had gotten a ride from Allison this morning since Lydia's car was bust from an accident but I couldn't get a ride back since all of them were going down to the beach and i had to babysit my little brother. You would think I lived off the coast of Santa Barbara or something but I lived in boring old Seattle, Washington. It's weirdly been in a lot of creepy romance books lately, like the twilight and 50 shades of gray so I guess it's gotten a lot more publicity as of recent. It really wasn't a very rainy city except for some times during winter when we would get cold showers but since summer was nearing the weather had gotten much better. I'd really much rather live in California though even when the temperature doesn't get as high as Seattle during this time of year because a constant warm weather beats the occasional hot days and the chilly usual temperature. I really hated living here. I hated all the stuck up rich kids in my suburban neighborhood and how ignorant they are to kids and bullying. I was especially sensitive to topics like these I couldn't stand how a whole group of people could be so ignorant. When I reached my house I realized I would miss it once I was gone though. I hated having a dad with a job from Microsoft now ever since they started moving him to places for a two year contract. Obviously my dad wasn't the type to reject it since it was a good opportunity for us to live in other countries and it offered a pretty good raise. We had come back from Japan a few years back and after getting to know my new high school friends, I had to once again leave. My little brother hadn't come home from school yet since it ended around 3:40. I've lived in this neighborhood ever since it was newly built in 2006. The school had come in when I entered 2nd grade and I had went to that school for 3 years. I had basically grown up with half my sophomore class and I hated them all except for a select few. I don't actually because I've gotten fond of the stupid class of 2015 as I have grown up and they were basically family to me. I knew that once I moved to china or wherever I would never be able to find all these lovable and annoying people anywhere else. I sat down on my bed and immediately turned on tv so I could chill before my brother came. All of a sudden I heard a loud knock and two voices screaming "Let us in!" I opened the window to see Stiles and Scott slamming my door repeatedly. My elderly next door neighbors met my eye and gave me a menacing glare because of all the noise. I immediately jumped back and ran down the stairs to let the two in. I heard a big thump and Scott screaming while Stiles was repeating "Oh shit oh shit" by the time I reached the door. I opened it to find Scott looking at his hand in wonder and looked at the two crazy friends I had. There was nothing out of order, they were just standing there on my porch, looking at me and expecting me to notice something. Stiles gave me a hint as on what it was and pointed to my front door. There was a big dent the size of Scott's hand and I knew he used too much of his strength. "You're an idiot Scott" I said as I went back inside not bothering to invite them in nor closing the door. Knowing me, they both let themselves in. Scott and Stiles exchanged cautious looks and started bursting out laughing. I couldn't help but join in they were too stupid to not. Scott and stiles had been two of my best friends ever since I was in 7th grade. Allison and Lydia, my other two bestfriends were dating the two and I was kind of lone child who refused to go on double dates with them as a fifth wheel. I looked way too pathetic. "Will you forgive me if I tell you who we invited over?" Scott smirked at me. "You mean Jackson?" Stiles questioned as he looked over at Scott. Scott immediately scowled at him and they started bickering. "Wait wait hold up guys Jackson is coming over? Now?" The two both turned to look at me and nodded. "Are you fucking kidding me?!" I screamed as I ran up the stairs and threw open my closet. I was casually in my school clothes and that wouldn't have normally been a problem except for the fact I wore sweats today and my hair was in a crazy bun from lying down. I heard my fridge door open and I knew Scott had grabbed two soda cans for him and Stiles and casually walked up the stairs. I slammed the door in their face so I could get dressed and I knew this was going to be a fun, weird night.
