Jackson's POV
I don't know why I did it. I was getting tired of Derek doing whatever he wanted to. I know that I wanted to be a werewolf by choice. I wanted the powers McCall had. It seemed beneficial to be a great lacrosse player and i wanted to take my spot back as captain. Derek being more experienced than me, took me down and immediately put me in pain. This was embrassing. Natalie was looking down at me helplessly not knowing what to do. I shook my head at her hoping she understood what I meant. Right then and there, when Natalie avoided eye contact and looked down, I knew she was considering Derek's offer.
Back to Natalie's POV
I didn't know what to do. I saw this coming obviously Jackson would object. But he was lying on the ground after a hopeless attempt and he was in pain. "Derek stop." I said. "No. He needs to know who's in charge." "Listen here Derek, our friend, who you need wants you to stop. So stop." Jackson spat at him. Soon enough, Derek put his foot off Jackson's chest and walked away. "I need to tell you all something. The pack of alphas are here." We all knew this so no one took it as a surprise as much as Allison and Lydia. "What do you mean-" Lydia stuttered. "They want me to be in their pack. We have to fight them off. It's the only choice." "There isn't another way, is there?" I carefully questioned. "If I joined their pack." "You wouldn't." He got silent. "You seriously aren't thinking about joining.." Scott asked. "Scott, it's my only choice. If I can't defend them with my pack.. Think about it." I guess everyone was thinking about it because nobody talked after that. "Derek any intention on telling the others what you wanted to do to Natalie?!" "What?!!!" Lydia screamed out loud, looking at me. I sheepishly looked down. "Look, I needed all the help, Natalie was my only chance. Only if she's up to it." I couldn't stand everyone looking at me like that. "I don't know okay! I don't know what I want." Jackson was looking at me pleading with his eyes. I grabbed his hand, helping him up. "Let's go." Lydia and Allison followed and stiles went to say bye to Lydia. Me and Jackson didn't say a single word as we got into the car. "Look, I-" "Whatever Natalie. I'm just looking out for you." He cut me off. I frowned and turned my head towards the window so I could avoid eye contact. The whole ride was silent. I hate hate hate silent moments when someone is upset with me. It's the worst. Jackson pulled up in front of my house and I got out. I was about to turn and go when Jackson opened the door and walked towards me solemnly. "Text you later." That was all he said and he turned and walked away. I couldn't stand this. I ran in and went up to my room. I couldn't hold in the tears anymore. I threw my jacket off and wiped off my makeup as I climbed in. I was in the middle of bawling when I felt a hand slide down my back.
Jackson's POV
I think she jumped about 2 feet then. I had come back out of the car as soon as Natalie ran in. I knew Id been to harsh but I needed time to take everything in and think about it. "Look I'm sorry Natalie.. I needed time to think about things." I apologized. She grabbed a pillow to cover her face and said, "Okay bye.." It was muffled so I couldn't hear well... But bye? It couldn't be it. "Bye? What do you mean? You're not that mad are you?" "No.. But I have makeup all over my face so.." I laughed. She was so cute and real. It wasn't like this for me and Lydia. I took the pillow away from her and wiped the mascara off with my thumb. "I need to know one thing Nat. Do you want to be one or not." She was hesitant for a moment until she started talking again. "I don't. If I want speed and strength I don't want to have hair all over my face for it." She smiled. I looked into her eyes and kissed her. I slowly leaned in so she was lying down at this point. She had such soft lips and her perfume smelled so sweet I just wanted to- "Jackson why were you so against it." She said as she pushed me off. "What?" I sat up and rethought the question. "Well i didn't want you to fight stronger wolves and get hurt. I care about you Natalie." "Hmm okay. Well I don't want to turn. I feel bad for rejecting his offer but Derek's gonna have to fight without me."
