having a panic attack in public is so scary because you're aware of the fact people are watching you cry but can't do anything about it. and afterwards people have so many questions like "why were you crying" "what made you upset" "do you feel better now". panic attacks aren't exactly things you can get better from. they're unexpected and the just the worst. if you're out in public and see someone having a panic attack, stand with them. don't look them in the eye or try to speak to them. don't offer them water or a hug just stand with them and maybe hold their hand so they know that they're safe, and won't be harmed. everyone should see this so that they know what to do. don't, whatever you do, stare at the person and make them uncomfortable.
