Sleeping

Chapter 2 – Sleeping

My sweet dreams of my day at Six Flags kept me asleep.

Not for long...

A loud bang woke me. I sat up on my bed, looking around. My alarm clock read 12:00 A.M. Nothing but darkness. I slid to the foot of my bed and sat on the floor. I grabbed the flashlight next to my bed.

I flashed it around my room, noticing that my closet door was partly open. I jumped up and ran to the closet. Pulling it open, my Foxy plushy stared at me. Huh, what was that about?

Walking back to my spot on the floor, I admired my room. My centered bed, right in the middle of the room, pushed up against the wall. My closet on the opposite wall. The two doors on either side of my room. One to each hallway.

The right one led to the kitchen, while the left led to my parent's room.

I glanced at my alarm clock, wondering what time it was. 12:43 A.M. I knew I wouldn't be able to fall back asleep. I turned around, looking at the Freddy Fazbear plushy I had won that day at Six Flags.

The "Guess Your Weight or Age!!" booth was the best place to get prizes. They NEVER got the right answer.

I turned back around and saw a light outside my left door. That's weird. It was a subtle blue-ish color. I walked to the door and pushed it closed, putting my ear up to it. I heard breathing.

I ran back to my place by my bed, scared. Could it be? No, it couldn't. Or could it...

Earlier in the year, my dad had quit his job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza after his boss had said that his family was cursed and the animatronics would come haunt us in their nightmare forms.

My damn doors wouldn't stay closed!! I ran to my right door and closed it, but it wouldn't stay. Then I saw it.

A dirty, golden-yellow arm pushed its way through the gap in my door. I pushed myself back up against my wall. The nails we're rusted metal, sharp and deadly.

I pushed the door with all my might and the arm disappeared into the dark hallway. I ran back to my bed, and flashed my light.

Sitting on my bed were two dirtier, scarier versions of my Freddy Fazbear plushy seeming to be having seizures. I flashed my light again and they flew off my bed and were dragged under it.

I sat down once more and saw my closet door slam shut. What could be in there besides my Foxy plush... oh.

I walked to the closet and pulled the door open. Foxy jumped out, his massive jaws stopping inches from my face. I slammed the door shut and opened it again. Foxy was hiding it the shadows. I closed the door again. When I opened it, nothing but my Foxy plushy was there.

I turned around, sat down back at my bed. 3:59 A.M., my clock said. I leaned back and saw my left door close. What?

I didn't feel safe. I was terrified.

I turned around and looked at my Freddy Fazbear plushy. I squeezed its nose, producing a soothing squeak.

Turning back around, a purple-blue hand slashed across my face. A huge mouth filled with hundreds of tiny, metal teeth closed around me. Bonnie... Bonnie... Bonnie.

I sat at the end of the hallway. Plushtrap sat, staring at me, on a small chair.

"FuN WiTH PlusHTrAP!!" a mechanical voice said.

A flashlight appeared in my hand. Four doorways appeared on the walls of the hallway. I flashed my light. Plushtrap jumped back onto his chair. Chalk, apparently held by nothingness, drew a lopsided "X" on the carpet in front of me.

I flashed my light again, seeing Plushtrap jump into the back, left doorway. Waiting, waiting. A persistent ticking was present in my head.

"61,60, 59, 58, 57, 56, 55, 54, 53, 52, 51, 50, 49," it seemed to be saying. I flashed my light again. This time, Plushtrap flew into the front, left doorway. He was close to me now.

"29, 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17," the voice in my head said. I flashed the flashlight again, catching Plushtrap on the "X" barely 1 foot from where I sat.

A voice in my head, "GREAT!!" I fell back, darkness closing in around me. I landed in my bed.

Looking to my side, I saw my alarm clock.

12:00 A.M.
