A Different kind of Love

Chapter 6

Joe's POV

I got ready an hour early so that I could go over to Caspar's house and make sure he's ready for today.

Caspar's mom happily let me in and I ran up to his room.

I quietly opened the door and there he was, asleep.

He's not a very attractive sleeper. He's always laying in a weird position and his hair is always such a mess, not to mention his snoring.

I walked over and kneeled down by the edge of his bed where his face was and whispered," Wake up, Casp."

Luckily he's a light sleeper so his long blonde eyelashes slowly fluttered open.

He smiled once he met my eyes before sitting up," What are you doing here?"

" I want to make sure you dress and look your best for school today and I'm gonna pick out your outfit for the party too." I walked over to his closet and picked out his outfit.

I walked over and laid it on his bed in front of him," wear these."

He rubbed his eyes and yawned," Turn around."

I laughed," Really? I've seen you naked I don't know how many times. "

He laughed and looked down for a second," Yeah, well still, Turn."

I shrugged," Fine."

" Next I need to do your hair but, first you need to brush your teeth because I will not be kissing someone with nasty morning breath all day." I said still facing the other direction.

" I was already planning on it." He sassily replied.

" You can turn around now." He added and I turned to see him dressed.

" You look great!" I smiled as I mentally patted myself on the back for picking out the perfect outfit.

" Hold my hand." I whispered as we got out of his car and headed toward the school entrance.

" No, your hands are always freezing!" He whispered back.

" And yours are always warm so they'll warm mine up. Now please just hold my hand. We have to make this believable!" I whined.

He sighed as he intertwined our hands. I subtly smiled as he brushed his thumb up and down my hand.

" Hey guys!" Caspar said as soon as we walked in. His friends were standing by the door.

They all gave us confused looks.

" Hey...Hi Joe." Josh said looking down at our hands.

" I have something to tell you guys."

" Ok?" Oli crossed his arms.

Caspar bit his lip and quickly glanced at me nervously smiling," Joe and I are uh together."

" As in you are a couple?" Josh questioned.

" Yeah." I spoke up.

" W-wow um that's cool. I'm just kinda a little confused. Are you gay or bisexual or something, Caspar?" Oli asked.

He hesitantly spoke again," I don't know. All I know is that I fell for Joe."

They both aww'd.

" Well I'm happy for you guys." Josh smiled.

" Thanks, well um we will see you around." I smiled before waving goodbye as pulling Caspar toward the stairs.

When we got up stairs my group of friends were talking.

I took a deep breath and turned to face him.

" I don't why but I'm so nervous. Louise is gonna ask a lot of questions, I just know it."

He smiled warmly and rested his hand that was previously intertwined with mine, on my shoulder," And we will answer them. You shouldn't worry. If my friends took it well, I know your friend will. Besides it's not like you have to come out to them like I did to my friends."

I smiled," I've missed your optimistic advice."

He smiled as we walked over to them.

" H-hey guys." I spoke up.

They all stopped talking when they saw Caspar next to me.

" Hi, um why are you guys holding hands? " Louise asked.

I knew she was gonna be the first one to point it out.

She's never afraid to ask or say anything.

Plus, she's my best friend. I tell her everything but I didn't tell her about Caspar and I.

" Caspar's my boyfriend." I smiled nervously at him and he did the same.

" Why didn't you tell me? When did this happen? Wait, Caspar, you're gay?" She asked.

I pulled her to the side leaving Caspar to talk to my other friends which he didn't seem to mind doing.

" I was gonna tell you but I was afraid of what you'd think. " I said.

" I mean I'm just a bit confused. You only started talking to him again like a few days ago. And you just broke up with Justin. Don't you think it's too soon?"

I shook my head," I don't think it's too soon because I know that I really like him and I want to be with him. Besides I'm over Justin. He's a cheating jerk. "

We both laughed," You've got that right."

We went back to the group.

" You guys look cute together." Tanya smiled.

" Yeah, you really do." Alfie added.

I smiled as I looked at Caspar who was already smiling at me.

" Thank you." I said.

Tanya squealed," Oh my god! How you guys just looked at each other was the cutest thing ever! Can you guys kiss? "

I gulped and looked at Caspar. He looked nervous again.

" Uh, well um maybe later. I really should be getting to class." I grabbed Caspar's hand to walk away but Tanya and everyone else kept asking.

Before I could protest Caspar moved his hands to around my waist and locked our lips.

I raised my eyebrows before closing my eyes and kissing him back.

He pulled away and gazed into my eyes for a few seconds before my friends whistled and aww'd causing us both to blush.

Caspar is a better actor than I thought he would be.

The way he kissed me actually seemed like he really loved me for a moment.
