Once we saw with children's eyes
heard the sweet in lullabies
angels with iridescent wings
dined in Eden,we were kings
but in a blink, in a wink
fallen from grace, wings forsaken
out of paradise we were taken
turned our back on the light
chose to dwell on endless night
we demons were beautiful once
chose to fall, took a chance
to live as if we're dead
we chose to be monsters instead
and for what, you may ask in flare
hands tightly clutching your hair
for this monstrous love, I would reply
we became monsters, you and I.
