For some strange reason I kissed back. Why? I don't understand. Why would I kiss someone I don't even know, but it was like I had no control over what I was doing, almost as if I was being forced to kiss him. But the feeling, it was odd, unnatural, making me crave this kiss. And I liked it. He suddenly pulled away and his eyes were glowing such a wonderous crimson red, once again. I was afraid, because the last time I saw his eyes red, I was his precious prey.
I jolted my eyes away, looking down, avoiding eye contact. I didn't say a thing but just stood there paralyzed into place as the silence over took the atmosphere of the dead room. "I've gotta go." He spoke through the awkward silence. With that he jumped out the window but before leaving he said, "Forget everything that happened." And then he was gone.

He was in my head, all the time I was thinking about him. Was he really a vampire? And who was he anyways? This boy was familiar but it was fuzzy in my head. Where had I seen him before? The door suddenly swung open, "Hurry up! You're gonna make me late." It was Violet, of course. I grabbed my dark grey backpack from my bed and walked out following her. "Hurry Hollis!" I just rolled my eyes, walking towards the car and jumped in. It was a silent ride to school, but I didn't seem to mind.
As I got out of the car, there he was, waiting by the doorway to the entrance of the school. The vampire boy. I tried to avoid him and ignored glancing at him but I was yanked back, and sure enough it was him. He dragged me by the arm, taking me to the back of the school for some odd reason. I pulled back my arm, away from him, getting irritated by being dragged around like a dog on a leash.
"We need to talk." His tone was serious, and it brought a shiver up my spine, making the hairs on my neck slick up.
I was fiddling my fingers, completely nervous for some odd reason. He just stared at me and I couldn't take it. "Who and what are you!?" I yelled aloud, forgetting, that even though where we were was vacant, people could still hear.
"Lower your voice, do you want to cause attention?" I slouched down against the wall again that I was now leaning up against and shook my head.
        "No."
"Now, to answer your question; call me Drew."
"I'm Hollis..." My words swirled off my tongue uncomfortably. It was hard to even have a conservation with someone who had kissed me other day. And the thing that made it worst was he doesn't find it awkward. Lastly, adding the fact he's a vampire and drinking my blood has to make it even more worse! The things that had happened between us were coming back together, like it just happened yesterday. But it was days ago. I felt myself twitch and tremble beneath his cold gaze, feeling very worrisome about what was going to take place.
"About the other day you gotta keep it only between us." I just nodded my head, studying Drew for a second. He had very pale skin, almost paler than mine, and that's saying a lot because I thought I was pale. His eyes sparkled, glimmered, glowed even, in the sunlight, creating a beautiful emerald blue. He was tall, slim, built, stylist, if I might add, and very handsome looking. I must have it bad, because right now I'm like basically eye fucking him. God, why do you hate me?Suddenly he started laughing.
"Please don't tell me I said that aloud." But he shook his head. Did he seriously just read my mind? And then he grinned.
        Fuck.
I tried to avoid all the awkwardness in the air, and skipped to a very serious but almost silly question. "Are you really a vampire? And why did you come to my mothers funeral? What was that kiss about? Lastly, how is this even possible, will I turn into a vampire because you bit me!" I started to freak out, all these question I had just come out all at once. Its like, once I started asking questions I just couldn't stop, there was so much I wanted to know.
"Calm down. Now, yes. Your mother and I know things about each other that we shouldn't. Did you want me to bite you again? And, no. Now is that all your questions?" He answered that pretty fast, without thought.
"Uh, ya..." The bell rung, as we finished our conversation and we departed with one another. As we did, I wondered, kept telling myself, this was impossible. I just don't understand.

After school I decided to walk, classes went by fast actually. And it was pretty dark since I decided to stay at school longer than usual. I just stayed to study and now I was heading home, but for some strange reason I wanted to leave during the dark when the sun was dimming. Not only was it easy to walk through the cold night, but it was soothing.
As I was walking home I noticed that I wasn't alone. Someone's shadow reflected next to me, by the fading sunlight. There footsteps were rather light and unheard but there breathing was slow and went with the beat of my heart. At that moment, when I heard that heavy, sickening, breathing my heart dropped, and I told myself to run and not look back. Just run, Hollis. But as much as I tried to convince myself to run, I didn't, I kept an easy slow pace, acting as if I was oblivious. I could feel this person almost breath down my neck each time they got closer. Before I knew it my upper arm was pulled back by that person and my neck was being tasted and licked at as I was held into there strong embrace.
That's when I remembered, that there was such things as vampires. The breathing became uncontrollable, which was followed by a sharp high pitch hiss, the screeching tore threw my ear drums, almost causing my me to nearly bleed to death. It was the worst sound in the world, a sound so unfamiliar, so inhumane, almost animalistic. But it was a person, or in other words a beastly demonic demon disguised as a human-being. And if I hadn't known vampires existed, I would have never guessed. As I pried the person off, I turned swiftly, trying to get a glimpse of my predator, and when I noticed the color of this person's eyes shimmering by the reflection of the moon's glow, I gasped, and staggered back.
