Princess of the Mafia

Chapter 1

6:30~
BEEP BEEP BEEP!!
            I look at my alarm clock and I see it is 6:30. Fuck. I grab my annoying alarm clock and throw it at the wall causing it to explode into a million pieces. GREAT! Now I have to buy a new one. "Mom! Where are my shoes!?" I yelled for my mothers aid in helping me find my shoes, I always lose them. "They are down here sweetie!" My mother yells back. I smile knowing she always finds everything I need. I put on a white crop top type shirt and my favorite ripped jeans. I put on some nude lipstick and brushed on some mascara. I'm not really big on caking makeup on, I'm fine with just some lipstick and mascara. I make my way to my vanity and fine my necklace. I have always had this necklace, since I could really remember. I have asked my mother where I got it from and she constantly would say "you will find out one day...soon" so I would just drop it but every now and then I would ask her again.

Well, since I'm ready I'm gonna head down stairs. "MOM! Where are you?" I yell for my mother seeing if I could find her somewhere in the house. "In here Ava!" I turn the corner and see her in the kitchen making coffee for both of us. I take my coffee cup that has a big 'A' on it along with cute animal print decorating it. "Mom...do you ever miss dad?" My mouth dropped. Did that seriously just come out of my mouth!? "M-mom...I-I didn't mean that" she just looks down at her cup and smiles sadly. "Yes...but he is gone" I nod my head and drink my coffee silently. I look down at my phone and see its 7:00. "Oh shit! Mom I gotta go I love you!" My mother laughs and says "I LOVE YOU! Have a good day at school!" I wave and sprint to the door grabbing my keys out of the key bowl near the front door. I open the door to see my best friend Sophia Romano. I Yelp and grab my chest saying "JESUS! Save me now..."  We both laugh at my reaction and rush to my car.

"Hey my love!" I laugh at Sophia's comment and start my car. "Soph...do you have a bad feeling about today?" I shudder just thinking about it. "Yea...kinda but I am just gonna ignore it." I nod and we make our way to our school. 'BROOKLYN BRIDGE HIGH' I read the big bold letters as I drive into the student parking lot. "Come on let's hurry up and get to our spot" we rush to stand at the stair well of our school waiting for the doors to open. "OMG! Did you hear what Mrs. Bridge said to us yesterday!? I was so pissed off I could have clawed her fucking eyes out!" I laugh and nod my head remembering what Mrs. Bridge said

*FLASHBACK*
"Mrs. Romano what do you think you are doing!?" She yells through the glass at Sophia dancing outside of the child room. She is outside standing on this ledge that stands out just enough for a person or two to stand on. Well Sophia was dancing like a stripper and was working it! I laugh and run outside to join her. We were dancing like strippers and we were killing it! I said to her "I was put gonna let you do stupid things alone!" She laughed and said in response "good because I was fixing to come get you haha!" We laugh and we see people recording us and laughing at the teacher. When we have had enough of our stripper moment we make our way back inside of the classroom. "BOTH OF YOU ARE SO IN TROUBLE!" I laugh and step past Mrs. Bridge and sat back down in the soprano section. Sophia sat down next to me like normal and Mrs. Bridge said "you two...need to get some class" I laughed and said in response "you...need to get rid of those three chins you have" now okay that was mean on my end but I have class! Mrs. Bridge scoffs and rolls her eyes and I see Sophia fuming with anger.

*end of flashback*

"Hey we need to go to class soph" I laugh yet I can't fight the bad feeling. We make our way into the school and we spend every class today together. We run on a schedule A and B day then Skinny Friday. Allow me to show you...

That is my schedule. And today is A day. So I get to see Sophia all day except for geometry 10. But it's all good! So we make it to home room and sit down and start to talk. Then kids start to pour in the class room so we keep talking but the principle come on the intercom and says in a hushed voiced but loud enough we hear him.
"Brooklynn Bridge High is now on lockdown" I gasp and grab Sophia's hangs and run to the closet in the classroom and sat down and waited for this to be over.

Everyone likes in and we are waiting for the call that it is over but all of a sudden we hear gun shots and yelling. I gasp and grip Sophia's hand fighter fearing the worst. Then all of a sudden I hear "AVA MILANO! Get out here NOW!" I gasp and everyone looks back at me. "You have 5 seconds or this teachers gets shot in the head!!" I hurry out and i say good bye to Sophia. As I make it out I am greeted by the barrel of a gun and all I say is "oh fuck..."
