Princess of the Mafia

Chapter 2

                 I stare down the barrel of a gun and I hear a click and I swallow the lump in my throat. "Let's just grab her and go...her father will love to know his daughter is alive" I gasp  and say "what! My father!?" And suddenly everything goes black.
After sometime I wake up in a car and see there are men everywhere. I gasp and wrap my arms around myself. "Oh enough acting innocent! Stop with the act already!" I scoff at his comment and roll my eyes. "This isn't an act I don't know any of you! And I don't know where you are taking me....and....how do you know my father?" The men snap their heads my way and say in unison "wait what!?" I swallow hard and say "what? My mother told me he died when I was a baby." They start to talk to each other and say "your mother never told you?" I tilt my head in confusion. "Told me what?" They all nod their head and say "your...a princess of the Mafia" my jaw drops! "IM A WHAT!?" They cover their ears due to the shrill time in my voice. I cover my mouth and slowly point my gaze to the ground. "I'm sorry...but how? My father is dead" they look back at me and say "he had to disappear to save you and your mother from the other rival gangs, the Amileo family is out to get you and your mother to get back at your father."

I slowly start to analyze everything I have experienced till now, my mother making me stay inside when I was a child because it was 'dangerous' or ' it's not a place for such delicate flower like me'. She would make me cover my eye with sunglasses all the time when we went out, she always told me I had my fathers eyes...his piercing hazel eyes. Now it all makes sense! "Where is my mother now!?" They jump at my sudden out burst and say calmly almost slyly "a couple of your fathers close friends are grabbing her...anyone else you worried about princess?" I nod my head. "Sophia Nacole Romano" they nod their heads and one of the guys grabs his phone only to say "Sophia Nacole Romano please..." And then he hangs up. I sit back more relaxed now and I say "am I seeing my father?" They nod their heads. I feel happy,anxious,nervous and sick all at once. When I feel the car pull to a complete stop the men hop out of the car and hold the door open for me. I slide out to see a tall building and I mean TALL, it is huge!

I take a deep breathe and look at one of the men and said "what do I say to him? I haven't seen him since I was a baby..?" He just smiles and says "hey dad...that would make his day" I smile and he smiles warmly back at me. I start to walk inside and I turn back to the man I just talked to and said "wait! What is your names!" The men smile and say "Mark", "Charlie", "Noah" I nod my head mainly remembering Charlie. Because he was the nicest of the three. Noah was the one who had the gun pointed at me. Asshole. But never mind that I need to see my dad! I rush to the top floor and I make my way down a long hallway to see two wooden doors and I knock on it. I hear a sound I remember instantly "come in..." DAD! I rush into the room and I see my dad staring out the glass window and he slowly turns to me. He instantly starts to walk fast towards me. "Dad.." I say softly. He embraces me in a warm hug and saying "I'm so sorry baby girl...I had to leave so you and your mother could stay safe" I start to cry and say "I know daddy...I have missed you so much!" He hugs me fighter as I cry harder. I step back to get air and I grab for my necklace and I asked my dad. "How did I get this dad?" He smiles and says "I bought that for you on your first birthday...I had to leave then, but I gave it to you and you smiled one last time before I left" I sniffle trying to fight new tears. He smiles softly and kisses the top of my head softly saying "I love you baby" I smile and say "I love you to dad"

Suddenly we hear footsteps rushing towards us down the hall. My dads smile instantly drops. "Ava get in here and don't come out till I say so okay?" He leads me to a secret passage or room behind a book case and shoves me inside after I agree. I cover my mouth quickly as I hear the footsteps growing closer. My heart is pounding 90 to nothing in my chest. Then all of a sudden the doors fly open and I hear my dad yell "get out! Now before it gets ugly!" I hear a dark laugh. And an older man say "too late..." Then I hear a gunshot.... I start to cry thinking it was my dad. But I hear the bookcase start to move. I get ready to run but I see my fathers face peek through the crack. He smiles warmly and pulls me out. "Good girl you stayed hidden" I smiled and see an older gentleman laying in a pool of blood. And No blood does not bother me. And I don't even know why, well...I guess it comes with being a mob bosses daughter haha. But suddenly I hear "AVA MARIE MIALNO!" I swallow hard to see my mother and my best friend at the end off the hallway. I give a stupid grin and wave shyly. They stomp my way and hug me tightly. Then my mother goes to my father and gives him a big kiss on the lips. And I mean a good kiss, like one of those kind that makes you cringe at the sound of them. Me and soph cringe hard and she says "what is going on here! I see a strange man hold a gun to your head and now your standing over a dead man!? What is going on here!" I give another stupid grin and say "well soph...you the best friend of a Mafia Princess...how do you feel about that?" She looks blankly at me and says "OMG THAT IS SO COOL!" I laugh and hug her tightly. But it was all cut short when I hear my dad say "Ava you have to start training now...since you will be taking over the business after me" my jaw drops again and I stumble on my words "m-me? Be a Mafia boss?" My dad nods his head and my mother looks worried. But I nod my head and agree to the 'training' my dad is talking about. he smiles saying "good you start tomorrow..." I nod my head feeling ready for this. But I say "what about Sophia?" he smiles and says "she can be your bad ass body guard?" I turn to Soph and give her the look that says 'up to you honey?' and she smirks and says "I can be a bad ass body guard?"

My dad laughs and nods his head. All I hear on Soph's part was "oh HELL YEA! I CAN BE FUCKING BAD ASS KILLER!!" my dad laughs and says "well you guys starts training tomorrow." I nod my head and look down finally remembering the dead guy under my feet. "umm...dad what about this guy?" he just rolls his eyes saying "oh that is nothing..." I just nod my head and walk with Sophia to the doors and I turn back to dad and say "where do we sty then dad...since we cant go back home?" He smiles and says "take the black porsh in the garage down stairs and just turn on the GPS and it will take you to YOUR new home..." I gasp and look directly at Sophia and she looks like she could just pass out from joy. I rush to my dad and jump on him and kiss his cheek and grab the keys out of his hand. I run back to Sophia and grab her hand making a mad dash to the garage. I mean to tell you, we couldn't get there fast enough. but when we did I saw the porsh dad was talking about, and boy was I shocked it was amazing! so we get in and I see the GPS and turn it on and it starts giving me directions to follow and I due so until we get to a big mansion right outside of town. I about cried when I saw it, Sophia cried 2 tears then made a mad dash for the house. when we opened the door there is a table with two new iphone 6s on it with a note saying "TO AVA AND SOPHIA YOU ARE NOW APART OF THE MILANO GANG...KEEP THESE FOR BUSSINESS AND FOR YOUR PARENTS OF COURSE (SOPHIA) " I laugh at the shot to Sophia, but we were very greatful even though we already have one. I look at her and I said in a smart assy tone "how does it feel to be in a gang with your best friend at 16?" She laughs but I see her swallow hard. I pat her back and say "let's find our rooms shall we?" She nods and a grin spreads across her face. We make a mad dash for the main stair case and find our rooms. I see it is now 7:30 pm, I yell out to Sophia "GOODNIGHT!!! IM GOING TO SLEEP!!" I hear her yell "GOODNIGHT!!! I LOVE YOU!!!" I yell back "I LOVE YOU BOO!!" "Goodnight dad and mom" I whisper to myself and with that I fall into a deep sleep...
