~ GETTING TO ASHLEY ~
CHAPTER ONE:
Philophobia (n) –
The fear of falling in love.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Ashley Vitale. I am your average every day person. Dull brown hair and boring brown eyes. Nothing special. I don’t wear skirts and I don’t scream about bubble-gum pop boy bands. I do have one exception though, 5 Seconds of Summer. They aren’t all poppy and locky and polka dotty; they have actual talent. They have been my life since I was 14. I’m not like most girls; I don’t have boys falling at my feet. We all have that one friend that gives amazing relationship advice, but isn’t and never has been in a relationship. That’s me. My mum tells me not to let myself fall in love unless I was sure that he wouldn’t break me in two when he moved on to the next doll. That’s why my walls were wrapped high around my heart and that’s why I was confused when I let myself fall for a famous boy band member. My name is Ashley Vitale and this is how I fell in love with Calum Hood.

“Ugh, Ashley what do I wear tonight?” Sophia yells at me from upstairs.
“I don’t know why you’re asking me, you will say no to everything I suggest. Just make up your mind and get your but moving we need good seats.”
It’s the night before the 5 Seconds of Summer concert and I am currently having a yelling match with Sophia. Sophia, she’s defiantly a character. She’s my best friend. We are completely different. She is the definition of popular; strait blond hair and sparkling green eyes. She always has a boy on her arm and she loves One Direction. Although we are completely different we make it work. I am the tomboy and she is the girly girl. I love her; she is always here for me and the other way around.
“I’m wearing my red leather high waisted shorts and my black mid-drift top with my oversize jumper and black vans. Thanks a lot for the help Ash.” Sophia yells at me once again.
“Good, now put it on we need to go in 20 minutes and just so you know I would have never picked that out. But no worries Phia” I say sarcastically.
“Don’t be a sarcastic bitch Ash. It’s hot but I don’t like it.” She says walking down the stairs of our apartment.
“You constantly call me hot and I don’t know why. You’re going to drive me up the wall.” I mutter under my breath.
“I heard that, you little shit.” She screams as hits me.
I run to the car and bags not having to drive tonight. Sophia groans as she puts the car keys into the ignition and turns on the car. She backs out of the driveway and starts the hour drive to the concert. Sweet revenge.
***
I peel my eyes open as I feel the car jolt to a stop. I must have fallen asleep because we had arrived at the venue. Thank god we bought V.I.P. tickets because it was packed. The venue was surrounded by screaming girls and some boys and annoyed parents who have nothing better to do than watch a boy band in concert. This was going to be a loud show and as long as I got to meet my idols I don’t care.
“Ash you coming we don’t want to be late to meet them.” Sophia says as she waves her hand in front of my face.
“Sorry, I was thinking about stuff. Oh My God Phia we are about to meet 5SOS. Do I look alright? Jesus, why did I wear this I look stupid. Calum is going to think I am an ugly freak” I say frantically running around patting down my hair and pulling up my high waisted jeans. I looked at myself in the glass and immediately relaxed, if there was one thing Sophia was good for it was making you look amazing. She had forced me to wear my white blouse instead of my band t-shirt and I have to say I looked pretty good.
“Firstly, since when did you care about your appearance? And secondly, since when did you care about what a boy thought of you? Who are you and what have you done with my best friend?” Sophia rambled on and on about me not acting normal – which I wasn’t, I mean, I am about to meet the best band on earth who wouldn’t be nervous?
“I just want to look good, I am about to meet the man of my dreams Mr Calum Hood. Can you imagine ugly me marry the Calum Hood. It would never happen; I am to disgusting and ugly.” I should really stop ranting to Phia but it was calming my nerves.
“Ash you need to stop saying you’re ugly because you’re not. I don’t know how many times I have to say this, but you girl are h-“
“Hot,” I cut her off mid-sentence “yeah I have heard it all before and I beg to differ.”
At that moment Sophia just turned to me and rolled her eyes. I had been too busy rambling on to realise that we had reached the near front of the line to go in and after a few seconds we were being ushered into a room which held the four most amazing boys in the world.
“Here we go.” I whisper to Sophia excitedly.
