One Small Step

First day of Senior Year

As I walk down the corridor I feel everyone is looking at me ! Oh stop of course no one is looking at me they all to worried about what Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian did in the holidays! I see Declan and Lexie at their lockers of course Lexie went to the principle to ask if she could have a locker next to his. As I'm looking at them I bump into Tess she keeps telling me "Stop looking their not worth your time" maybe she's right maybe this happened for a reason like think of the bright side more time for study and more time for my best friend.

I walked into class and of course Lexi and Declan had to be in my class! I sit down next to Tess. Class started I love the smell of fresh books , fresh pens and fresh body odours. Writing my first note down I hear Lexi and Declan planning there weekend ! ITS ONLY MONDAY !! My head is screaming. I can't do it, I can't do it I run out of the class crying. Tess follows me "I told you to just ignore them and carry on" I stutter to her "You did but but I don't think I can do it he was mine we did everything together and now he's gone he's hers" Tess reassures me and persuades me to go back in the class. I walk in everyone stares Miss Wheeler my favourite teacher asks me to go out side and tell her what's wrong. Of course I told her she's like someone who understands and doesn't underestimate me. She told me that I can go home with Tess and then come back all fresh and new tomorrow.

Later that night my phone vibrated

Declan: I saw you crying today, I hope it wasn't bout me ?
Me: Of course it was about you. I can't stand seeing you with her and then I remember all the good times we had together and then it all just got to me.
Declan: I'm sorry I didn't mean for any of this to happen. When you said things aren't working I panicked cause I didn't want to loose you! I went to Lexi cause I don't want to be alone and I was hoping she would be like you ! But she's not!! You are you and I love that!!
Me: I'm sorry too! We should have talked more but then you went straight to her and then I just didn't want to.
Declan: I'm sorry!! I told Lexi everything and of course she dumped me! I still like you!
Me: I like you too! Let's just keep talking about it. Sit together in class tomorrow?
Declan: Sure lets talk! And yes I'll sit wherever you are ! X
