I tossed all my bags on the underneath bag taker on the bus. I take one last glance at my home. I won't be back until Thanksgiving. I hope by then I will have a boyfriend who won't mind my "family". I climb on the bus.
"Morning, Halo!" the bus driver says.
"Morning Mr. Macline." I nod and take a seat with my best friend Sherridy.
"Morning Sunshine!!" she says. I nod and sit.
"Someone looks happy on this bright, beautiful, sunny, happy morning." I hear from 2 sets back. I look back and see, Travis, prepster Hannah Jackson's boyfriend. Considering that Hannah and I are like mortal enemies and Travis was my best friend until she sucked all the fun out of him. Now he just teases me when no one else is around and everything is a secret now.
"I think I got it Travis it's a sunny day." I roll my eyes and he smirks.
"Okay my little eager learners......" He gets cut off by the class clown or the bus clown. Poor guy.
"We prefer premature preschoolers if that's okay with you." Zakkary Macklard shouts. A wave of laughter echoes through the bus.
"Very funny Zakk are you finished with your comic relief of the day?" Sherridy questions.
"No way babe. That was is just my conception!" He winks at her.
"You dumbass! It's commencement not conception." Sher rolls her eyes and Zakk looks lost.
"Okay what's the difference? They mean the same thing." He snarks.
"No they're not because by you using conception you just said that, that was you conceiving a child whereas commencement means to start or begin." She says. The bus becomes alive with roars of laughter. I look at Zakk and he is blushing and sinking low in his seat, I giggle. He is not to smart but he still rocks. He's tall, thin, brown hair, beautiful brown eyes, a smile that could melt a girls heart.
Me: WHAT AM I SAYING!!! Okay I don't "really" like this guy.... right? People are gonna think I'm going insane. I can't have a crush on a guy that would be the worst thing ever that could completely ruin my reputation!
Anyways I walk off the bus with Sherridy and the most amazing thing happened. ZAKK!
"Hey Halo. Could I steal a minute of your time?" I look to Sherridy and she gives me a thumbs up.
"I will meet you at our dorm." I nod and walk away with Zakk and wait for him to say something.
Should I just talk instead. No that would be so rude. But he hasn't said anything yet. Well You should wait. Put a sock in it! Here I go. Wait what if you mess up? You can't risk it for both of us. Both of us is me so shut it. He's still not talking so am I just supposed to stand here and look stupid? You already do that! Alright you know what I am so done with you! Thats nice you weren't my first choice either. Okay you know what I will talk to him and prove how wrong you are.
"Soo... what's up dude." I playfully punch him in the arm. He stops takes my closed hand.
Me: WHAT UP DUDE!!!????
Conscious: OH Yeah you sure showed me... Stupid!
Me: What is wrong with you?
Conscious: I never said I was a nice conscience.
Me: Maybe you're the reason for my problems then. Let's just get back to the topic.
Conscious: Fine. BTW The more than friends ship has set sail.
