I finally broke through the hellish writer's block! Anyways, I don't have a whole lot to say. Check out my tumblr, I have two separate blogs:
Personal: mersadez.tumblr.com
Book Reviews: mersadezbooksetc.tumblr.com
I need some suggestions for books to review, both published work and online stories (Wattpad, Fanfiction, Figment, etc)!
Love ya always!

Pain
Sometimes it leaves us wants to die.
Other times, we only learn to appreciate life a little more.
Either way, it won’t leave you the same.
The world seemed to move in fast-forward as we made our way back to the courtroom. Harvey took his seat at the prosecutors’ table, and I in the gallery. We had a ten-minute wait ahead of us before court officially resumed.
“I’m sorry,” I heard someone whisper to my right. Of course I jumped, that’s just how I’d been lately.
If I hadn’t seen him with my own eyes, I never would have believed that that apology had fallen from the mouth of Liam Hanesworth.
“WH—What?”
“You know, I’ve never been very good with apologies. I’m sorry. For all this, it’s entirely my fault. I should have just let you go so you could get to the police.”
“Stop, please just stop.” I said that louder than I should have and earned a few angry, sideways glances. Even Harvey was about to give one before he realized it was me. Then he realized whom I was talking to.
“Is there a problem here?” Liam shouldn’t have even been here, he gave his testimony on one of the first few days of the trial. After that, Harvey told him to stay far away from court.
“No, sir,” Liam said, giving me a look as if to ask if that was the right answer.
“Yes, I mean, no. There isn’t a problem Harvey” I gave him a smile and he seemed to be convinced that he’d gotten the right answer.
“Good. Hanesworth, we discussed this. You’re part in this trial is done. You need to leave.” The three of us knew he had every right to be here, but even with his decision to ultimately be on Spencer’s side of this, Harvey didn’t want me to have to be around him. I didn’t want to be around him. Or see him.
“I’ll le—“ Liam was interrupted by the crack of the wooden gavel as Judge Daniels brought court back into session.
“Please be seated.”
I thought for sure I’d be stuck sitting by Liam, but when I turned to look, I watched as the back of him vanished beneath the only open exit door.
“The court asks that the People’s witness, Bentley Ryan, return to the stand.”
Once again, I clicked my way to the stand. Fifteen steps.
“Defense may now cross examine the witness.”
“Thank you, your honor.”
Simone Lesson. She stood from the defense table, exuding strength, knowledge, even power. All things I wish I had. Maybe we wouldn’t be here if I did. She wore a beige pinstripe suit, which you could tell by the fit of the skirt that it had been expertly tailored. Her shoes were almost plain. Almost. They came to a point, sharp enough to be considered a weapon.
