That night, we bought some snacks at the nearby convenience store. We didn't have enough money to eat at a restaurant.

"How are you going to make them drink the potion?" I asked, eating a pack of potato chips.

"I don't know. Knock on her door and tell her?" Hook suggested.

I facepalmed myself but nodded my head. There wasn't really any other way. No matter what we did we would sound crazy to them, so why not be upfront?

"Let's do it," I said.

"No. I'm going to do this alone," Hook quickly said.

"Why? We have done everything together this past year. Just when we're so close to getting the loves of our lives back you say you want to do this yourself?" I ranted. This wasn't like me at all. It was probably because I was too close to getting Henry back.

Hook looked at me. I couldn't tell what he felt. Shocked? Angry? Annoyed?

I took a deep breath, lips quivering, trying to calm myself down. "I'm sorry," I apologized, running my fingers through my black hair. "I don't know what's going on with me." I looked down, I didn't know why I was feeling so uneasy. It felt like there was something Hook wasn't telling me.

I heard some shuffling behind me and a hand on my shoulder. "It's okay. Look, I'll convince Emma and if I fail, you can help me."

I nodded as I munched on a hot dog. I had nothing to say.
