why am I hear?

I hated riding the school bus, a half-hour with people that were loud and annoying was not my cup of tea. I sat with Anna, she was more excited about the field trip more then I am, or at least any of us. She had brochures of the museum and kept on telling all the "most interesting" facts of the thing they have. I like to think of her as the smart one of the group. She loves to know new things and try new stuff as well. Which at times gets her in trouble.  

"Omg, I hope we see ancient Egypt exhibits! I heard they have a real mummy."
"That',s cool I guess?" I just kept looking at the window and hoped we get there soon; I wasn't feeling good   
She looks away from the brochures "what wrong? You've been kinda down lately."
"I'm just tired."
" it might just be the weather. I heard  it can affect moods in people."

we soon arrived at the museum, it had looked like every museum  I've been to. Everyone rushed into the building as the puffy clouds began to lightly rain. While most people ran inside afraid of getting wet I walked not minding the rain falling on my head. Water didn't seem like a big deal to rush into the building. It felt kinda refreshing after ding stuck in a stuffy bus.

the group didn't bother wait to for me and started to follow the tour guide. I spotted Anna waving her arms at me mouthing "over here".   

I don't pay much attention to the tour guide, I just would wander around in my own minds trying to make time go fast till we get to leave. At times I would pay attention for a minute or two because the tour guide would point out some interesting points about some artifacts but that was about it. 

soon it was time to have lunch, we went to the new food court that the museum. they had a lot of good variety to select from surprisingly. I grab a build your own fruit bowl and sat will Anna who said she wasn't Hungary But I know she is just going to eat from my bowl so I put extra fruit. 

"I wonder when we're going to get to the Egypt exhibits?" 

"I don't think its open, I saw a coming soon sign before we came for lunch."

"WHAT?!" she yelled out. "that cant be," she grabs her brochure from her pocket. "It says come see our new ancient Egypt exhibits with new artifacts."

I grab the brochure while she took the fruit bowl. I looked through where she read from. "Ah. coming summer 2020. it's at the bottom. How do you miss that?"

she took the brochure from me and couldn't believe I was saying the truth. "Then why are we here!" she smacked the brochure on the table. "what the point."

"hey. it's not all that bad." try my best to see the upside of this for her. "remember we saw that dinosaur? that was cool."

she stayed quiet for a moment making her thinking face. so I took my bowl and ate as much as I can because she was coming up with something. "I came here to see a mummy and I will be damned if I don't see it."Anna came in close and whisper to me. "we're going to sneak into that exhibit."
