Chapter 10
Alana’s POV
Circus, circus, circus. Wow I sound crazy.
Liam picked up the webcam and talked to it. “Okay, I’m going to pass the camera to Alyssa so she can film while I introduce the acts.” Alyssa accepted the camera and held it so Liam was in the picture. “Let’s start with Zayn.”
Zayn sat down on a pool chair and pulled a chair up to face him. Liam sat down.
“Liam would you like your palm red?”
“Sure.”
Zayn took Liam’s palm, looked at it for a second, then reached next to him on the ground, pulled up a paintbrush covered in red paint and slathered it onto Liam’s hand. Liam looked at it for a second, not reacting.
“Well, okay then.”
“Zayn do the trick with the cards!” Alyssa called from behind the camera. Zayn nodded and pulled out some of those voodoo cards they sell at the costume shop. I had a feeling I would be disinfecting this place with Holy Water later.
Zayn shuffled the cards and placed them on the chair in front of him. He flipped one over. The picture was a creepy zombie like thing eating a person’s brain. It was scary.
“What does it mean?” Harry asked.
Zayn closed his eyes for a second then said, “Someone here is going to…”
We were all hanging at the edge of our seats.
“Someone here is going to… eat chicken.” We all turned to Niall who at that moment took a large bite out of his drumstick.
“Hey Zayn maybe you should consider a career in fortune telling,” Louis joked. Comments were flooding in begging Zayn to stay with the band, and threats on Louis’ life for suggesting such a thing. Calm down girls it was a joke. Seriously, what was wrong with these girls?
“Did we pick up that crystal ball?” Zayn asked.
“I knew I was forgetting something!” Niall exclaimed.
“Here,” I said. “Use this.” I tossed him the beach ball from the chest by the pool. Zayn caught it and stared into the clear part.
“What do you see?” Louis asked.
“You,” Zayn handed the beach ball to Louis. “You are going to make this shot.”
Louis took the beach ball and got ready to throw it at the pool basketball hoop by the water. He lifted the ball and threw it. It missed. Louis looked at Zayn.
“Dude this is a beach ball not a crystal ball, what did you expect?”
“Come on! This is Louis. Even I could predict him missing that shot.” Alyssa sassed.
“Oh, and you can do better?” Louis asked.
“Yeah, I can. Just watch me make this full court.” She sassed while handing me the camera and picking up the ball. Alyssa tossed the ball from a court’s length away. It sailed through the air with a perfect arch and side through the hoop without even touching the rim. The boys gaped at her as she took back the camera.
“Okay… Who’s next?” Liam asked referring to the circus acts. “Harry!” We looked at the clown and waited. He just stood there awkwardly.
“You’re a clown. You’re supposed to be funny. Do something stupid.” Liam said seeing as Harry did nothing.
“Well what do you expect me to do?” Harry asked.
“Imitate Louis!” I said.
“Hey! I take offence at that!” Louis yelled.
