A Happy Ending!

"Oh My God?!", says a faint Zoe voice, "what happened to her?".
"I don't know, she just instantly picked up the knife across from the table and started cutting herself", says a faint Mia voice.
"Oh My God Jesse. Oh My Blumm'n God.", a new voice much closer to me said, one I haven't heard in god knows how long.
I try to open my eyes, but the weight on them were so heavy i couldn't open them.
So, i decided to just listen. "How long has she been out?", a voice, presumably Alfie's says.
"About 6 hours, ever since she cut herself.", says Mia sadly, and then it went silent.
I so badly wanted to see what was happening, and to see everyones face, the faces I have longed for over a year. I try again to open my eyes, but with more will.
My eyes start to flutter open, and Slowly everything went into focus.
Mia was pacing up and down the, what looks like, a hospital room, Zoe was leaning her head on Alfie's shoulder, Casper had just walked into the room and Joe was sitting beside the Hospital bed i was in looking down at a piece of paper he was playing with in his hands.
I wince at the pain in my left arm and then everyone attention focussed on me. "Hi?", i whisper, saying it as loud as i can, which was barely audible. Everyone was still staring at me.
"Ok guys, you can leave, you don't have to be here.
I'm alone anyway, i don't really care.", i whisper, a tear escaping my eye.
I quickly reach up to wipe it away with my left hand but wince, yet again, at the pain. "Here,", says Joe as he wipes the tear away from my face.
"Look, Joe," it hurt to say his name again,"you don't need to pretend to be nice.".
Then I thought of the song 'Secret Love Song by Little Mix' and wondered why my life was like that song? Because just now, as i looked into Joe's green eyes, I felt a feeling being released from my deepest thoughtsed .
I loved Joe.
I looked away from him.
He has a girlfriend, he has a job, great friends and a person who had thrown him out of her life and that person was and still is me.
"Look Jesse,", i looked up back into his determined eyes, "you are not alone. I already told you that. He looks up at everyone and back at me."You have Zoe, Alfie, Casper, Mia and me.", he says. "But after I treated you guys and-", Joe had cut me off.
"You didn't do anything wrong.
Whereas me, I was so stupid not to tell you why i was actually in Sydney and that I love you.", he said with love. Oh God! Joe had just said he Loved me! Or was that another dream? "Joe, am I dreaming?", I ask him cautiously.
He laughed and pressed his lips onto mine.
Oh my god, Oh my god!
Everything I was worried about washed away.
It was just me, Joe and how close we were.
We stayed like that for a few more seconds and drifted apart.
As we drifted apart I felt as if I was in a daze. "Did that feel like a dream?", he asked chuckling.
"Nope. Felt pretty real.", I say meaning it.
But, then I saddened remembering Penelope and Joe being together.
"What's wrong?", Joe asked. "Penelope." I say sadly.
"You don't have to worry!", piped in Zoe for the first time.
"Yup, Joe broke up with her before we came here.", said Casper holding Mia's hand. "Sooooo, Jesse. Is there or is there not a Joesse now?", asked Alfie joking around.
"I looked up at Joe's big green eyes and my answer was already decided.
"Yes, there is.", I say to Alfie. "And Joe, I love you so much!", I say to Joe, and our lips met again.
