Tatums POV

I awake from another sleepless night. I look at the clock to see that it's 7 in the morning. Xavier is going to be hear in about an hour. I jump out of bed and go to brush my teeth. In the mirror I can tell that I havnt slept well. I have rings under my eyes. Gross! I do my best to cover it up with makeup after my shower. Once I'm done I look almost normal. I dry my hair naturally so it falls in gentle curls down my back. I change into a red sundress that cuts just before my knees and I match it with black flip flops.

When I get downstairs I see that it is now 7:50. I walk into the kitchen to find Samson and Bryan, Felix's brother. Okay? Where's Jaxon?

"Where's Jaxon?" I ask Samson

"He's on border patrol." He says serious like always.

"Okay? Why"I ask

"He requested to be taken off Luna Guard duty" Bryan replies giving me a sad smile

"Oh..." Is all I can get out before Phoenix walks into the room. Mute time!

"Morning Alpha" both guards say.

"Morning" he greets.

He turns to me and gives me a once over.

"You look beautiful Tatum" he says, I can tell he still angry because he is using my name. He normally only ever calls me baby.

I look away from and begin to make my breakfast. I go with a piece of toast with jelly on it, not really hungry.

"Tatum! Not this, not today when we have company almost here. He ordered sternly.

I roll my eyes and leave the kitchen.

He follows me and grabs my arm.

"Tatum! Listen to me damnit! Stop being immature! Grow up! Now you better not be acting so childish when Xavier gets here!" He shouts

I look at him stunned. We have had many fights, but never, not once has he ever said hurtful things to me. I can feel tears start to form in my eyes when a car door is closed.

"Xavier is here let's go!" He says sternly.

I follow him outside. I see Xavier come into view, he gives me a smile when he sees me.

I give him a small smile, the only smile I could out on my face at the moment.

"Phoenix" he nods

"Xavier" Phoenix nods back.

"Hello Tatum how are you?" He ask me

"Well" I say in a small voice.

Xavier looks taken back. He is used to me always so happy.

"He everything alright? Is your mate sick?" Xavier ask worryingly.

"She's fine" Phoenix dismisses it.

"Let's go inside and talk than?" Phoenix ask

Xavier looks at me and back to Phoenix.

"Very well than" he said, and the two walked off into the office with Felix and Xavier's Beta who's name I have forgotten.

" Luna"Bryan says with a small smile

"I'm just going to be upstairs" I say walking away before the tears can fall out of my eyes.

I make it to my room and I jump out the window. Right now I just need to go some air and I can't do that with stupid guards following me or my stupid mate insulting me. So I run.
