[Rydel's POV]:

"I'm so excited." I said to Ellington as I grabbed my keys.

"About..?" He questioned.

"I get to meet my husband!" I said and he spit his water all over the floor, and some on his jeans.

"WHAT?" He said.

"I get to meet the guy who portrays Steven in the show. They said that they're surprising him with who plays Aspen as well. So we're both going to be surprised to see who each other is." I said and Ellington let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh. Okay. Have fun."

"Apparently they're going to catch it on camera too, that's what they want to do. For a little commercial on Disney." I said and Ell smiled.

"You go, Glen Coco."

"Oh, shush." I said with a laugh before exiting the house and driving to the location I was told to do to. As soon as I got out of the car, a person led me into the building.

"Ready to meet him?" The director asked and I nodded before the cameras turned on.

"Alright, Steven come out and meet Aspen!" The director said to someone as he led me to stand in front of a door.

I bounced up and down in anticipation as the door slowly began to open. Soon after, there stood a 6'4, blonde haired, blue eyed boy. Luke Hemmings was playing my husband? Wow.

"Oh my god! Hi!" Luke said and wrapped his arms around me before picking me up and spinning around.

"Luke! Hey! I didn't expect this at all!" I said and laughed softly as he put me down.

"I didn't expect it either. I didn't realize you'd be playing Aspen! Wow."

"I didn't realize you would play Steven. I didn't even know that you act." I said and smiled at him.

"Well, surprise?" He said and I laughed softly.

"This is great. I think we'll get along well."

We hugged one last time and the cameras soon cut off.

"So, what do you think?" The director said and I smiled at him.

"This is fabulous. I can't wait to get started." I said and he smiled.

"You'll have your scripts by tomorrow, and we'll have our first table reading. You'll get your schedules by then."

"Perfect." I said to the director. "Oh my god." I said, still amazed that Luke was the one to portray Steven. We hadn't officially met, but we'd come across each other at award shows and red carpet premieres. We'd say hello to each other and move on, but now we'll be spending so much time together. It's pretty cool.

[the next day, the table reading]

"So, as you know already, Aspen is a dancer who is looking for a job. Lucky for her, she finds out there is a band called Broken Scene who needs a dancer for their tour. She auditions to be the dancer, and her eyes meet with Steven's. They fall in love, and start to have faint memories of each other. When they were ten, they promised they'd marry each other by the age of 19 if they weren't already married. So, they get married secretly the next week." The director explained as he passed the scripts around the table.

"Got it. So, we were childhood friends?" Luke asked.

"Exactly. But you two lost contact when your band got famous. So, when y'all meet again y'all fulfill your promise to each other."

"Cool. How'd you come up with the name Broken Scene? Wait.. Stupid question." Luke said and I giggled softly.

"When I called you about the role, you said that you would only play the part of Steven if the band name could resembled 5 Seconds Of Summer in a way. So, I chose Broken Scene."

"And the guys get to play my band members, right?"

"Right. That's the only way I could get you on board. You're a stubborn dude, you know?" The director said.

"Wait, from the way you speak, it seems like he didn't even audition at first?" I said and Luke looked at me and smiled.

"Did he call you about the role of Aspen before auditions even began?" Luke asked me.

"Yeah. He said that I would be best for the role because of my quirkiness and because I would be great to play Austin Moon's cousin." I said and Luke winked.

"Exactly what he did to me. Except he said that I'd be great for the role because he can see me with the girl who plays Aspen getting along so well, and having great chemistry. I just didn't know that you were Aspen."

"Well, that's amazing. He had certain people in mind when he created this show."

"Like he said, I only agreed if my band resembled 5SOS, and that my actual band members portray the band members."

"Let's just begin. Less chit chat. Let's start with Aspen. Go." The director cut in.

I nodded my head and opened my script after moving my hair behind my ear. I looked over at Ross for a moment, he nodded his head as if telling me to go ahead. He and Laura, and Raini were set to guest star in the first episode.

"What am I going to do, Austin? I haven't had a dancing gig in over three months." I said, reading the script.

"I really don't know." Ross paused, as if thinking. "I bet I-"

"Guess who found this flier for an audition?" Raini cut in.

"Trish, I'm not in the mood to talk about acting." I said with a sigh.

"This is an audition for dancing on Broken Scene's tour."

I gasped and glanced down at the script again.

"Trish! That's great! When?"

"Now! Let's go!" Raini said and the director chuckled.

"And now it cuts to the next scene, they are now at the auditions." The director said.

"Ally, there just hasn't been any good dancers auditioning." Luke read from the script.

"Well, it says right here that there is one last minute audition." Laura read.

"I'm here, I'm here!" I said, taking a few breaths, as if I were out of breath.

"Okay, so, Aspen dances, and afterward she walks closer to the table and she and Steven make eye contact."

"Whoa. Steven..?" I said.

"Aspen? What.. I.. Whoa."

"Alright. We'll go over more the rest tomorrow." The director said as he stood up. "Great job everybody.

"Random question. What will my band members names be?" Luke said.

"Well, Michael will be Payton Rooney. Ashton will be Trey Alaska. And Calum will be Ben Monroe."

"Isn't it going to get confusing having two Calum's?" Ross said.

"Well, the Austin and Ally gang won't be on many episodes anyway, and the full band isn't on there much either. I don't know that both Calum's will be here at the same time. Even if they would be, they pronounce it differently."
