~Chapter 2: Welcome to the Twilight Mansion!~

Prism gazed out the car window. The scenery flashed before her eyes. According to Ibuki, they would be arriving in Tokyo soon. For most of the trip, Yuki had been talking to her. Kiitan stayed asleep for the whole car trip, Luka shot death glares at her, Hotsuma was playing some kind of game with Shusei, Toko tried to butt into Yuki and Prism’s conversation, and Tsukmo was eating some kind of chocolate acorn.

Now, Yuki was asleep. Kiitan was still sleeping, Luka was still shooting death glares at her, Hotsuma and Shusei were now trying to strike up a conversation with Prism, and Toko was trying to steal chocolate acorns from Tsukmo. 

“Prism,” Shusei started. Prism’s head went from in a daze to looking at Shusei.

“Yes, Shusei-kun?” Prism asked.

“Um, this may be a weird question, but how did you meet Kiitan?”

Prism looked down. “Well, it’s kind of boring… Do you still want to hear it?” Shusei nodded. Prism sighed.

“Well, when I was still living with my Grandfather, I was kidnapped by…” Prism had to pause for a moment. “Ah, yes. They’re called Duras. So anyways, I was kidnapped by some Duras. At that point in time, I had no idea what they were. I only knew that I could see them and others couldn’t. I only knew this because I had seen them before when Grandfather was talking with me.”

“I was 11 years old at the time. I guess that they knew that I was God’s Light, and so they decided they wanted to kill me right there. Before they could kill me, Kiitan-kun came out of nowhere and killed them in one shot of his gun. He took me away from there and back to my Grandfather’s house. When we got back, we found that my Grandfather lay cold on the floor…”

“After we found him, Kiitan-kun decided to stay with me. Eventually, we found ourselves falling in love. But by the time of my 12th birthday, he had to leave me. He told me that he would return to me on the night of my 13th birthday, when the moon was dyed the color of sweet crimson. He gave me this necklace.” Prism held up her necklace, which was in the shape of a small dragon. Instantly, it popped to life. It was a small, white dragon that perched on Prism’s shoulder. Shusei looked confused.

“I thought only Mid-Villains, Opasts, and General Classes could have familiars. I never thought that a human could have one…” Shusei stated. Hotsuma stifled a laugh.

“Man, Shusei, you REALLY don’t pay attention to Yuki! He has Sodomu, remember?” Hotsuma told him.

Shusei sighed. “Obviously YOU don’t pay attention either, Hotsuma… Sodomu is Luka’s familiar.”

Prism spoke up before they could start arguing. “Well, Kiitan-kun told me that his familiars can become someone else’s, Human or Duras. I have one more familiar, but he hasn’t come out of the necklace ever since Kiitan-kun left. I think I can try and get him out, but I don’t know if it will work…” Shusei and Hotsuma looked at her like they wanted her to try.

Prism sighed and pulled another Dragon shaped necklace out of her pocket. She held it in both of her hands and closed her eyes. Rizumu-chan… Please come out. Kiitan-kun is back, Rizumu-chan! So please, come back out… The necklace turned into a small, black dragon. It perched on her other shoulder. Prism’s face lit up.

“Rizumu-chan has come back out!” she chirped excitedly. She looked at the white dragon. “Norete-chan, Rizumu-chan has come back!” At that, Norete-chan flew over to the shoulder that Rizumu-chan was perched on and started to play with her.
