Cold. A very good feeling for her. Winter stood on the edge of a small river at two in the morning. She tested the water out, it was freezing. Smiling, laughing, and then cold. She jumped in. It was the only thing she'd felt in months. The cold swirled through her, it didn't numb her. It stabbed and pricked all throughout her small body. The pain of it was exhilarating. Winter wore a long shirt and shorts up to mid thigh. The river was about six and a half feet deep. A thought slowly began to circulate through winter's mind. What if? Everything else was someone else's decision. So why not take the chance to control her life for once in fourteen years? Winters mind was made up. She swam down as far as she could and stayed there. Oddly enough her body didn't fight her. She was tired, so exhausted her body was done with everything. All air in her lungs went stale. She heard the water splash as she rose through it. She felt the coldness of night. And then it was all black. For the best.
