Graduation day. The day I had been looking forward to for four years now and so had my bud Owen. We had spent these four years of hell going to shitty house parties, listening to weird lo-fi bands, and giving each other stick n'poke tats to our hearts content. Graduation meant growing up which also meant freedom. Oh, how Owen and i both longed for freedom these four years of misery. I was all dressed up gown and everything and under my graduation gown I wore a Teen Suicide shirt , jeans, and Dr. Martens Mary Jane's. It's not like my parents cared they weren't even going to show up. My parents aren't at all good. They picked going to a fancy horse race over my own graduation and Owen's parents cant really care all that much from a grave now can they?

Me and Owen stood side by side after accepting our diplomas. We all as a class threw our caps in the air and that was it. That was all we got for four years of a wasted life.

Later that day me and Owen went skateboarding in the park but i had so many moldy thoughts racing through my brain.

"You okay Franky?" Owen asked as he slowly stopped his rolling board from going down the small hill ahead of us.

"Yeah its just we didn't get enough recognition. I mean we've both lived in this shitty town for eighteen years of our lives. We've both wanted to go to LA this whole time why don't we just do it? I'm a rich asshole with a van why don't we just go?" I said trying to catch my breath after my long speech. Owen laughed.

"What are you talking about Frank. We can't just leave."

"But, we can Owen! Lets do it." I said with excitement.

"Fine lets do it!" Owen yelled.

We drove back to my house and I packed everything. My shirts, tapes, guitar, and all my favorite pairs of chucks. Owen practically lived at my house so he had everything he needed as well. I didn't feel the need to even leave a note because my parents didn't deserve it. Me and Owen, we deserved this no more shitty teachers and gross cafeteria food. We're finally free! I thought to myself.
