"She open her eyes and met his. The impact was so strong he was amazed that his figures continued playing with out pause."- Patricia Briggs, Cry Wolf

"Today will be great. Today will be perfect." Say it. Feel it. Believe it.

This is my mantra for every morning I wake up. I say it to myself every morning in front of my bathroom mirror, before I head out. Hoping every day it will be true. But now I'm Jeju-do Island in front of my best friend's bathroom mirror, never breaking one of my morning routine. Chanting it before I join them for brunch.

It's almost 11 am now, we had drinks last night. Luckily, no one got wasted. Next thing I want to do is deal with drunk young adults first thing in the morning.

" Sam! Pa Moke ga!" as Min Jung calls me.

"Coming!" I chuckle as I flung myself towards the dining room. I can see Soo Hyun already serving my all time favorite chamomile tea, while the two of them stick to their Hot Americano. Well I'm a person who always prefer tea than coffee, just an added information.

"Jal moke get sum nida" we chorused.

"By the way it's our last day here, I want us to have our dinner later in the resto bar slash cafe of my samchon. They serve the best hot chocolates and I'll tell samchon to make your favorite Green Tea Bingsu Sam!" Soo Hyun happily inform us while taking a sip of his Americano.

"Woaah that's why your my favorite Soo Hyunieee!!" I cheered. "Yah,naneun eottae? as Min Jung pouts and playfully sending me a glare. "haha hajima Min Jung-ah I love the both of you! Jeongmallo" I tell them flashing my mega-watt smile.

Why am I in Jeju-do? The school we're working at gave us 2 days vacation leave with pay. The school is having a general clean up drive that's why. Also Jeju had been always in the top of my vacation list. Fortunately, it is the hometown of my best friend Min Jung. So unanimously, we decided to be here, together with my other guy best friend Soo Hyun. All the three of us met in the school (Bright Kids Academy) where we work. It's a private kindergarten school in Gangnamgu Seoul. We share the same passion-teaching. Even though they are full blooded Korean they accepted me for who I am. We share the same sense of humor, and there isn't a day that I won't laugh my butt out! You could say we just clicked, they've been with me for this past year, SRSLY they're both amazing people! I tell you.

My name is Samantha by the way. But you can call me Sam, everybody does. I'm half Filipino half Korean. All credits to my biological father's genes for the latter. I've been living and working in Seoul for a year now. As you can see I'm an English teacher, I teach English to kids and oh I sing (during night). It's my other part time job back in Seoul. Shocking? I know. But as much as I love teaching, I have a passion for music as well. lalalala ~

Wondering why am I in Korea? Well, I stayed most of my life in the Philippines. My mother's hometown. And basically my hometown as well. As I graduated in college, I guess, I just needed a change of scenery. With my mother's blessing of course. Also I prayed that if given the chance to be here, I would like to find my biological father. Yep, I am in search for him. But as a year passed, I lost hope. I'll just give destiny a chance to guide me and hoping that our paths may cross someday. I need answers. And he is there, alive I can feel it. I believe it. I have to, it keeps me going.

So much for this melancholic part of my life.

"Jal moke got sum nida" we chorused.

After eating, we decided to have a movie time. We're making the most out of our semi-vacation. It's one in a million chance of having a 2 days paid semi-break. Making our way to the living room, lounging and just being lazy.
