Chapter 1

"Meredith wake up it's time for breakfast". My older brother Austin said as he pounded on my door.

I groaned as I rolled out of bed, my long blonde hair was ratted at the bottom butt that was the least of my worries. Today was the day we have our yearly pack dinner with the neighboring packs. Every time we had this dinner everyone ends up fighting and arguing.

I walked down the stairs to see my dad sitting at the table talking to his second in command Marley who was a strong muscular man and wolf.

My mother stood at the stove her jet black hair was as shiny as her wolf coat.

Finally my brother Austin who was a tall blonde haired boy who any girl would fall head over heals in love with. We are pretty close and being part of the same pack means we would die for each other.

Our pack has 50 wolves in it which is about the same as the other packs.

"Dinner is ready my babies, after this I want you all to get ready for the dinner and make sure all the other wolves are too." My mother said to me and my brother as she placed a huge plate of pancakes, bacon and eggs on the table, a breakfast meant for an army.

As soon as breakfast was over I was about to walk out the door my father grabbed my wrist.

"Mer, we have to talk about something,"he said with a frown. "You have to choose a mate tonight, your turning 17 in a week and u have to choose a mate since your brother is taking over my pack you need to marry one of the other leaders sons tonight you, either you pick or I do. But trust me when u see your mate you will physically know it."

"Dad I'm not ready can I just be second commander to Austin when he inherits the pack?" I asked.

"Mer, any offspring of a alpha will not be second in command, no u must marry an alpha and become his mate," he said as he motioned me to follow my brother.

Once I walked outside the forest around our mansion of a house enveloped us from the blue sky. My brother in wolf form, his white coat made his green eyes shimmer.

Suddenly I felt the adrenaline and before I could take my clothes off they started ripping as my muscles grew and fur began growing leaving no bare skin.
My jet black coat which was the opposite of my parents stood. Sadly our bloodline had only had white wolves until me.

My father accused my mother of cheating and he had attacked her leaving her with scars all over her body.

I ran over to my brother and nibbled on his flank, making him growl. See my brother was the mature one, the one who didn't ever have fun.

*are you excited for tonight* I barked at him.

*more or less, I get to see Lucy* he growled with a smile.

Lucy and Austin had the "mate moment" when they first see each other and fall in love....that being said Lucy is an omega her parents arnt ' alphas.

My father never settles for second best. His children deserve the best possibilities.

As we ran on all fours too the cabins my father had built for our pack, the wind hit me like a breathe of fresh air. This was when me and my brother bonded the best. When we were our true selves and we were the happiest.

*you're going to be a great leader* I howled at we ran.

*as are you* he barked.

*are you excited to find your mate* Austin growled.

*i don't think I'm ready* I barked

Just as Austin was about too reply too me a blood curdling scream rang out coming from the Blood Pack territory.

We turned and ran towards it when suddenly we found the source of the scream.

A big red wolf sat with his jaw around a young grey wolf.

*what are you doing* my brother growled

Once the beautiful red wolf lifted his head and I got a sensation I've never felt in my life. His eyes widened and he dropped the neck of the desperate wolf.

*what is happening over here* my brother growled as the fur on his back lifted.

*im showing this stupid omega what happens when u step out of line* he barked

His voice was a like silk, beautiful and sexy.

*you must be part of the whisper pack* he growled as he walked towards us.

*yes the alphas are our parents* Austin said, his gaze never leaving the big wolves eyes.

*i am too an alpha of the Blood clan* he said *names Hudson*

*im Meredith, and this is my brother Austin* I proudly said as I inched toward the beautiful wolf.

the blood in my body was rushing and I started panting. As drool started running down my jaw I decided it was time to go.

*um Austin we should head home, nice to meet you Hudson. Hope to see you again soon.* I barked happily

*cant wait to see you again Meredith* Hudson proudly sat with his head cocked to the side.
