(Your POV)

"________! Hurry! The show is starting!" Your best friend called out to you while you were in the bathroom finishing up your makeup. You and your best friend were at a local strip club. It was your first time going and your friend's 100th time there. You hoped you would find someone who would catch your eye, but in your mind, you had doubts. When you finished your makeup, you made your way back to the table you and your friend were sitting at. She was already talking to a young scrawny man who appeared to be one of the employees. You slowly sat down into the chair and waited for the man to go away. He was already annoying you when you listened to him. He wasn't a bad looking guy, it's just that he is so cocky and loud. You want a man who is caring of others and not themselves. Finally, the man walked away, holding to what appeared to be a small piece of paper in his hand. You quickly turned to your best friend who was blushing and giggling like crazy.

"Did you just give that guy your number?" You asked in a stern tone.

She stopped giggling and looked you dead in the eyes. She looked at you like she was going to rip your head off.

"Yeah so, what does it matter to you?" She snapped back.

"_______, that guy is just a waste of your time. I can tell he is a dickhead just by listening to his voice. He's a player I can tell. He's too cocky and he is immature. Not to mention disrespectful." you explained.

"Oh here you go judging people again. You don't know him, _______. You don't know what he's like outside of his job. He lives with his mother to protect and support her, he works to bring money home, he hasn't seen a girl in 5 years. He's been lonely ever since his girlfriend died. She was all he had besides his mother. How dare you do such a thing. I thought you were better than that." She said.

You stopped and sat silently for a moment until you decided to leave.

"Where are you going?" your friend called out to you.

"Home. I'm not going to sit here and take this. I may have taken the judging thing a little too far, and I'm sorry for that, but right now... Never mind. You wouldn't even understand. Your not used to being the third wheel, the one who gets forgotten." You answered before walking away to your car.

"But your my ride home." She called out again.

"Oh, why don't you go ask your little boyfriend to take you home." you called back.

And with that, you left the building without saying another word, nor looking back.

When you got to the parking lot, you saw a muscular man yelling at the cocky idiot who was flirting with your best friend. The muscular man looked and sounded like he was from the military. His hair was shaved in a buzz cut, he was wearing a military uniform that was blue, and had a navy blue helmet in one of his hands.

"You will show me some respect maggot!" The man bellowed.

The scrawny man just rolled his eyes and walked off.

"God he is so disrespectful. I just want to blast him into a million pieces with these." The man told me, pointing to his grenades that was on his jacket.

"I know right." You replied.

The man looked puzzled.

"Do you know Scout?" He asked.

"Oh that's his name. But no, my best friend knows him. She has a crush on him and I tried to tell her that he was a waste of her time, but she won't listen to me." You explained.

The man nodded.

"Say, what is your name miss?" He asked coming up to you.

He looked so much shorter from afar, but when he got closer to you, he easily towered over you.
