Chapter 28: Blu Scout (Jeremy Charleston)

"You gotta stop doing that, Jeremy says blankly."

"Doing what?" she asks.

"Saying things that make me want to kiss you," Jeremy says, looking deeply into Kate's eyes.

Kate blushes and covers her beautiful face. She feels Jeremy take one of her hands into his.

"Better yet, don't. Everything you do makes me fall deeper in love with you. When I look at you, the deeper I fall. It's like a bottomless pit of love. And it is scary at first, but as I get used to it, it feels so good. It's addicting." Jeremy admits.

Kate uncovers her eyes and stares at him in amazement.

The car was silent as they gazed at each other. The silence was broken as Jeremy dug deep into his pocket.

"I think that I should have done this as I was saying the thing earlier, but here. So, um... Here..."

Jeremy opened a small box with a diamond ring inside.

"I made sure this was perfect for you," he said.

Kate gasped with tears filling her eyes.

" Will ya marry me? Please? ... And thank you?"Jeremy asked with a blush on his cheeks.

Kate nodded, joyful tears spilling out of her eyes.

"Yes, yes!" she sobbed, smiling.

Jeremy slid the ring on her finger and leaned in for a kiss. Kate eagerly plants her lips onto his, grabbing his cheeks. He wraps his arms around her and holds her tight.

"We must get to planning the wedding," Kate suggests.

"I'm not the planning type. Maybe I can do some things, just not all."  Jeremy adds.

"Alright, then I will leave that part to me and the girls." she says with a cheerful smile.

Time skip

After the wedding, everyone gathered into the reception room and enjoyed cake and refreshments. The groom and bride did their traditional roles and left their family and friends behind as they set off to their honeymoon. 

"Where are we going, Jeremy?" Kate asks.

"I cannot tell you. It would take the fun and the surprise out of our adventure together as husband and wife." he answers. 

Time skip

Jeremy lead Kate to the door, covering her eyes when they were arriving their destination. A cool breeze rushed through their hair, plowing it in different directions and the sun beamed on their skin. The fragrance in the air  welcomed them into their new setting and provided hopeful thoughts into their minds. 

"May I look now, Jeremy? Please, I cannot wait any longer." Kate pleaded.

"Of course you can. Look." he says, removing his hands from her eyes.

She gasps and her eyes are widened, taking in all of the scenery before her. She has never seen anything so beautiful in her entire life. She turns and hugs her husband who was watching her reaction to her honeymoon behind. 

"Thank you so much! I have dreamed of coming to this place. I cannot thank you enough." she cried.

"Well, actually there is a way you can thank me." he smirks, grabbing her into his arms and carrying her inside.
