Hundreds of grey pelts could be seen, sprinting through the foliage, panting heavily. It was eerily quiet, except for the continuing panting, and the panicked howls, which were cut short by loud gunshots. One particular wolf, whose pads were cracked and infected by the everlasting marathon, veered right, heading for the stale scent of herself, knowing this was a safe place.A growing dread filled her stomach.Had the twolegs taken her pups?

The terrible fear melted, for she saw her adopted pups were snuggled up safely, fur pressed against eachothers. She swiftly snached up one pup, whom broke the silence with a ear shattering wail of protest. The she wolf nudged the other pup awake, who fortunately, wasn't as chatty as his brother, just gave his mother a confused look, then trotted along with the she wolf, oblivious to the terrible danger his kind were in.
