It was tense. Every snap of a twig,every rustle made the she wolf snarl. Not much longer, she assured herself, guiding her petrified pups with her tail. She sighed. They were finally at the lake. She set down her pup, whom was to mesmeriesd by the hungry blue waves, nibbling at the sandy shore. His brother, fearless as always, bounded towards the water, getting a shock by how cold the water was. As fast as they arrived the she wolf and her pups were gone. The wolf didn't want to risk getting caught by the humans, and probably killed. She shivered, remembering the cries as her pack was shot down. She set off again, her pups bounding along. Soon enough, she came across a rabbit, oblivious, and easily killed it. She watched her pups scoff the rabbit, until all that was left were bones. The she wolf suddenly smelled a new scent. And it was a scent she didn't like.
